Whats up, just got a phone call that I got a little part time job at my local Nike outlet :D :D.... just wanted to know what to expect as far as the discount goes and when it comes to the uniform do i come out of pocket for the nike clothing or will they give me some stuff to start me off? I also was reading that the discount is no good of launch Jordan's if true that sucks but whatever... thanks in advance for any help and information with this.

you have to wear a uniform but it's really not like that. at my outlet we got a pair of shoes, shorts and shirts to wear for work. Discount is cool, but like you said. discount doesn't work on new jordan's, some nikes, and limited releases.

when you say no discount on retros do you mean like my outlets got b-grade cement 4's in and i cant use my discount on them or you mean launch releases?

launch releases. I work at Nike in Allen, Texas (DFW Area), we got the 5's in not too long ago B grade and for the first 48 hours we could not use our discount.

But discount is pretty sweet tho, no lie.

You get two t-shirts, two pairs of black shorts/pants, and a pair of shoes $79.99 or under.

Discount is 30% in-store. 40% on NDC (most sneakers/clothes) or at a Niketown. 50% at the Employee store.

Like they said above 2 shirts 2 black bottoms and shoes 79.99 also you could get a discount on retros and limited stuff thing is you have to wait 48 hours to use employee discount.

once u become an employee u can get discount on new releases if they still have some available at the Nike Greenland employee store the Monday after the release. just call and ask which shoes they will be receiving in advance and call in that Monday when the open to do a phone order ... half off (50%)

op or anyone else, did you apply through the website and wait for a call, or were you persistent in speaking to manager instore. im speaking just outlet stores, not corp or anything like that.

I applied online and a week later they called me in for an interview, and a week after that was told i got the job. I have a pretty solid day time gig i have been doing for the past 6 years so was mainly interested in a part time to obtain the discount lol. good luck!! Also thanks for everyone that answered, that 48 hour thing sucks though..

that's a sweet deal.
heard it's damn near impossible to land a job with nike though

Anybody in here get hired for the Nike Chicago Michigan Ave Location Re-Opening? More specifically, the Basketball floor...

I applied on a Thursday, got a call the following Monday for an interview.. Went thru a background check and that Saturday got a call offered for a job. All within a span of 9 days. I start in mid September. Already picked up my new hire uniform! So what's everyone's experience working for Nike or the Nike factory outlets?
hey dude i was wondering if it pretty much makes hired if i applied last sunday, got called wednesday had the interview thursday and got called to do the background check today..im getting excited about the job but i dont want to get too excited and find out i didnt get it

did you guys just apply online or did you call them to follow up and everything?

I need a part time job :nerd:

Just online

Same here, I passed the interview process and a week ago I finished my background check and one of managers called me a few days ago to get some professional references. Hopefully I got the job.

If you did an interview and they called you to do a background check you most likely got the job

All I can say is the first few months you will buy a ton of shoes you dont need because the prices are amazing

And again, the deals you get at a factory store as an employee will be amazing lol

Its the outlet store in Ontario ca. What about you? ... One more question for anybodythay knows about the discounts..does the percentage come off the lowest price like if its on sale that weekend for 30% off ..do we get our discount on that price?
