Nike Air Up - These are due for a retro

I'm not even gonna hate on those shoes I like em. I would never spend money on a pair as they are not for me. I'm just waiting on pair of air ups.

You will have those for a long time I am afraid.

I see ur location is ATL. NOLA resident here. You guys will get a Superbowl trophy one day. Don't hate on us for actually being able to win playoff games. These shoes are fire.

Nah. not at all. I honestly thought you were trolling. What don't u like about em specifically? Serious... Vactech? The design is sick IMO obviously

All that being said I think the shoe pales in comparison to the OG version (obviously not this colorway), and I had em, but the crawfish are a great concept.

VacTech is the first that comes to mind right away, as an old head I had the OGs in high school, so these "updated" versions are like a nail in my eye, its like Nike are double flipping me for being their loyal client for the last 22-23 year...and the VacTech again

Grabbed my pair on release day from Eastbay, didnt know they glowed until I came in here this morning #kanyeshrug...I like em but then again I dont expect anything to ever be the same as the original either, prolly grab the white and black pair and be done with the AIR UPs.

Well, Vactech or no, I got my crawfish in today. I'm not disappointed. Details are on point. It's not like I'm making this my go to basketball shoe or anything. It's all about nostalgia and style. That being said I'm sure they're fine to play in.

i might have asked thi before but what is vac tech? is it the garbage stiff **** that is used on the black tongue V that i bought?

i cannot imagine ever spending money on **** that is uncomfortable let alone saying its one of my favorites.

bball shoes shouldnt be stiff as a **** man

You wish it is the stuff used on Black Tongue V's, that was just split grain with stiff TPU coating. VacTech is plastic all the way its molded in to the sneaker upper by vacuum technique and almost the whole upper is one peace. I was hating even before I had a pair with that monstrosity of a material, but I copped the Air Force Max last year, so that I can have a first hand experience, it must be the cheapest and nastiest material, Nike's number one troll weapon for their fans, surely enough they will continue to destroy classic after classic by using it.

is that (Vactech) what that is in the air force max? :x oh my lord they are so uncomfortable. i thought the more i wore em, the better it would get, but it really hasnt molded to my feet at all. is that cuz of vactech?

Yes, welcome to the "new updated" materials that Nike is serving us with. Its like linoleum made shoes, or actually how they use to make fakes back in the early 90's.

they're horrible. i seriously can't stand wearing them for more than a couple hours, and i often have to slip my foot out for a couple minutes just to give them a break. they just straight mash my toes and the side of my feet

EDIT: anything for nike to save a few bucks though

I tried to like the Crescent City colorway, but it's sad when the box steals the show. Will continue to wait until the BLK/WHT colorway drops significantly & then be done with this model. Fitment ran 0.5 size big (for me) for those wondering...

lmao at people saying the crawfish are about nostalgia, pretty sure thats not an OG colorway so how can it be nostalgic? yall are reaching to try to make those piles worth copping

Man, I was just as upset as you all when I saw the Orlando color-way and held off forever.  I recently saw them on OS Life for $70 + shipping and just couldn't resist.  I loved these growing up as a kid and my little brother got a pair but I went with Air Max CB's.  Not a bad choice but was mad jealous of my brother.  I guess I'll just have to do with what Nike releases.

Im still waiting for the royals to drop In price on one if the Major retail sites. Hopefully FNL so I can get another 20 reward card
