a GRAMMY for Album of the Year......

i feel bad lmao , the internet wiped out their culture , tumblr/instagram/pitchfork/ you can go to your local goodwill

and google a artwalk in your city and blend right in with them nowadays , must feel batman for them.....old

replica jersey's was suppose to be their thing...but as soon as the pictures leaked from pitchfork festival 2009

all the mainstream hypebeast bought'em out .....lmao...

before the interwebs got so trendy they could hold on to their style for years , now their lucky to get a few months

has the internet made hipsters extinct? or are the hipsters to hard to go out without a fight? are the gonna get OD ironic on us and let society start liking indie everything and then they can swoop in and start rocking with justin bieber , and buying disney/bieber shirts ? i feel like their in a lab somewhere in a ironic third world country testing out levels of nuclear irony and come back strong for the 2013

i feel you, too many hipsters at my school, and none of em have over a 2.5 smh.

hipsters are like bacteria and viruses

they'll just evolve.. and find something new and obscure to latch onto once mainstream society gets a steady hold onto their shenanigans

I've seen so many fixie bikes in my surburban neighborhood the past month than I have in my whole entire life

not to defend hipsters but all the people wearing Jordans/Foams are pretty much a different version of a hipster

it's all relative

Hipsters are a subculture of men and women typically in their 20's and 30's that value independent thinking, counter-culture, progressive politics, an appreciation of art and indie-rock, creativity, intelligence, and witty banter. The greatest concentrations of hipsters can be found living in the Williamsburg, Wicker Park, and Mission District neighborhoods of major cosmopolitan centers such as New York, Chicago, and San Francisco respectively. Although "hipsterism" is really a state of mind,it is also often intertwined with distinct fashion sensibilities. Hipsters reject the culturally-ignorant attitudes of mainstream consumers, and are often be seen wearing vintage and thrift store inspired fashions, tight-fitting jeans, old-school sneakers, and sometimes thick rimmed glasses. Both hipster men and women sport similar androgynous hair styles that include combinations of messy shag cuts and asymmetric side-swept bangs. Such styles are often associated with the work of creative stylists at urban salons, and are usually too "edgy" for the culturally-sheltered mainstream consumer. The "effortless cool" urban bohemian look of a hipster is exemplified in Urban Outfitters and American Apparel ads which cater towards the hipster demographic. Despite misconceptions based on their aesthetic tastes, hipsters tend to be well educated and often have liberal arts degrees, or degrees in maths and sciences, which also require certain creative analytical thinking abilities. Maybe it's because I'm from CA and spend a lot of time in LA and SF that "hipster" has felt mainstream for a while
