Who is the strongest Marvel character?

honestly either the hulk, or well...the hulk. dude was pretty much unstoppable. silver surfer was tough too, long as he was on the board..
colossus was really strong too.

Anyone heard of Iceman being one of the strongest? Supposedly he can create an ice age that only himself can survive.

Nah, he's the strongest because he's a blood bender.

Seriously though, it's discussions like this that remind me of why I got turned off and away from Marvel. There was substance to the universe when there was actual sensible science behind the characters (see genetics, evolution, ect). And then, they just blew the ishh out the tank when they started adding super-space beings, gods, personifications, etc. And for so many of these beings, it's a cat and mouse game as far as who is the strongest. They always hint that this person is the strongest, but don't ever make it official. Multiply this by 1000 and you just have multiple theories that lead to discussions like this that honestly go no where, and this irritates the ishh out of me...  :smh:

He's 1 out of 15 of the omega level mutants
I actually remember reading this

but this was always determined on the story being written, like what the link said about gambit.
When he was blind and had the power to charge things without touching it he was considered Omega,..

btw still waiting to see how Magneto would beat hulk

This thread always pops up from time to time.

NT nerds have convinced me, since way back, that Iceman is apparently the baddest man on Earth, Earth2, Universe, etc.

marvel is just annoying with the power levels. I mean, Thor can use this and warriors rage and that then his power increases ten fold yadda yadda yadda. It just gets annoying. We have Sentry who has all the power, but is just a ******ed character.

Any writer can add a crazy power up to a character. I mean, give the infinity gauntlet to a character and they become a force

I remember reading a list done by a comic magazine when I was about 18 and it was a top ten list of both Marvel and DC characters. Silver Surfer was number one cause of his combined strength and speed. It said he moves at the speed of light :x

Superman was number 3 and Thor was number 2. I remember other people on the list like Spawn, Professor X (cause of his mind abilities), Hulk, and even Spiderman. They also gave the reasons why each character would beat the ones under them on the list. Wish I could find that article now...

tribunal, by far.
as far as raw power, Jean Grey as Phoenix she's unstoppable, believe it! or Apocalypse.. Hulk as far as pure physical brute power.. You can also make a case for Sentry who is believed to be the only hero capable of beating Hulk...
