"Days of Future Past" - New X-Men Movie Release Date (First Class Sequel)

Easily this and I really do not have a problem with this costume back then but put this costume out today and it is definitely as generic as it gets.

I'd put this worse than those too.
801028

Nothing worse than bat nipples!
801029

This is hot but WTF?
801030

Time period and lack of cgi can't even defend this.
801031

And this for gods sake!

I honestly think they're ok. I've seen worse.

If I saw it without any other context or knowing when the timeline of the film is set or what is going on and they made me think this is what the whole film will look like then they tell me, "here's the new XMen costumes" then I might go, "are you serious?"

But with the context, which we all should know by now, then it is perfectly ok with me.

But I also ask you the question that you still haven't answered, does the suits being all black make sense in the context of them being in hiding and being hunted down by the Sentinels? I mean the movie is more than the costume of a secondary characters that'll have very little screen time.

Another question, did you like the maroon Magneto costume with a helmet that looks like it came out straight of the comic books at the end of the First Class film? Did you like the direction they went with that? Do you think it is a vast improvement over the past?
Sure, but like I said, the all black isn't the problem. The lack of creativity and character is the problem.

The mag costume was meh at best IMO.
The direction? I mean it's a step forward but ANYTHING would of been. Vast improvement? No

Im sure sentinels can track you regardless of what "colors" you are wearing. Thermovision, nightvision, power level surpassing 9000 etc. etc. etc.

dood this is a pure fictional flick, **** all the "realistic" bull....just give us yellow tights and im positive the it would be better received by the general public.

Snyder made flamboyant costumes work in WATCHMEN.....so whats the problem?

Wanting to be lowkey cuz sentinels are out to kill you aint an excuse for ****** costumes. They've been bland for the entire existence but you could ignore it cuz other things sucked a whole lot more. I still don't know why they won't pull the trigger on the comic costumes but tease them and cut them out of the movies.

At this point I'd rather they wear regular normal ppl clothes like Wolverine usually does. No all black, no leather (unless it's Emma), and no need to try and make them all match

Because you know all of the Sentinels powers in this film is?

Even with all those capabilities, you go in stand in the middle of the street in bright yellow spandex and you are very noticeable. It should be common sense.

And now we have to suspense belief when people couldn't believe Batman could make it back to Gotham from one scene to the other? And that is Batman for gods sake.

Again, you aren't looking at the context and the fact that the past-Magneto has a better costume with colors. We haven't seen the whole film for gods sake, we don't know what other costume we will see. Again if it is just as bad as the past, then I am right there with you guys boycotting further Singer films.

Ok a costume ripped straight from the comics is meh to you so what will impress you?

And again, if your theme is to be more stealth and be all black, how can you make the costumes better w/o it being generic or interchangeable?

Look at Quicksilver and you'll see how wrong you can be.

The majority of these superheroes don't have the luxury of blending in or going incognito so to me fans have always suspended their disbelief about that. You either complain about Supes' and Spidey's red and blue or you don't. That aint the same as complaining about the time lapse and w/e the **** was going on with Batman with a broken back in the pit and somehow he managed to get back to Gotham just in time.

Sentinels track mutants by their x gene not by bright colors and they definitely have all of those other vision options to find them. They're robots.

seriously bro?

Like foreal, I know your defending your stance and all....thats cool but seriously.......

we all read the comics and saw the show my g, best believe these joints got more than just standard optics to pursue mutants.

a modern day helicopter has thermal/night vision...u telling me a autonomous robot made in the future that cost millions if not billions to make in order to protect/rid the modern world of mutants aint bout to have the same fixings as a law enforcement chopper.

Your an idiot, and its fitting seeing as your the only one in here defending these costumes.

It's not just Sentinels hunting them in the future though, humans hated mutants too.

I mean is there really an argument on whether it makes sense to wear all black over a colorful spandex when in hiding?

As for Batman, he is Batman/Bruce Wayne, he has almost unlimited resources and people can't believe he could get back to Gotham? I mean people really want Nolan to show step by step how he got back? And if you rewatch the movie, it isn't even like he got back within 30 minutes. He had sa few days (or at least 48 hours iirc) between him escaping and the last timer on the bomb was mentioned.

Plus it's a movie so yeah, he has to get back in time. You want the movie to end when Gotham explodes to bits?

And has Singer really stuck true to the comics this whole time?

Yeah I'm an idiot for defending the costume yet you are right there arguing with me.

Pot calling the kettle black...

Not even saying the costumes are great, only that it makes sense and give the film a chance. I guess I am an "idiot" for being optimistic. :rolleyes

im not arguing, im trying to save you from your own ignorance.

done with you. moving on.

Awww, how noble of you to try and save me.

But yeah, it's good you are done with me. Don't let the door hit your *** on the way out.

throw on wolverines real costume, all black, and tell me that has no character.

Yeah mags costume looked likes it was from the comic but it wasn't executed correctly

How can you hate quicksilvers yet accept the other when his is pretty much the same as everyone else with goggles. Can't I just make up some BS to justify why he needs it in the future like you do for the others?

Well I thought we were just talking about altering the all black, leather clad costumes? If we are going to bring in actual comic book costumes, then yeah they could be done.

Again I never said those costumes are great, I also agree it can be done way, way better but they do make sense.

Look, i'd love to see them pull off an XForce Wolverine costume, even without the mask instead of this but again, I am ok with it just for the fact that it is better than his X1 costume and it's no tank top.

Oh no, no, no.

Quicksilver is above and beyond worse than the all black leather future costumes and it's not even close.

The hair, the goggles, the silverish-purplish hue shiny leather jacket with some cheap looking electronic utility belt?

I mean at this moment in time, Singer has achieved the worst comic book movie costume ever created, period!

Nah, in the future it seems pretty clear the sentinels got the mutants cornered, not humans. They just controlling the robots. Regardless I'm sure the humans have ways of finding the mutants the same way the sentinels do without needing them to wear super bright colors so it really doesn't matter if they rock their OG costumes. I'd be down for Wolverine's burgundy costume as well :smokin

And I'd prefer Nolan not write himself in to a stupid dead end. You're not explaining away getting back to Gotham so quickly when dude had a broken back. Son suddenly could beat Bane once he returned which was bull ****. I don't care what you're flying in aint no way he getting from one part of the world back to Gotham that quick and besides you'd have to wonder what was taking Bane and Talia so long to blow up Gotham in the first place. Wasting time with fake trials and exiles :smh: :x

Yeah Sentinels are the main hunters but I am sure humans are/were hunting them down too. Darker colors also works best with a dystopian theme of that timeline. There are probably still human rioters or snitches that would call up Trask Industries at a sight of a colorful mutant parading in the streets.

As for TDKR, arguments been exhausted to death and I am sure plenty could go back and forth with it and bring nothing new to the table so no point in getting to that argument, especially by derailing this thread so I'll just leave it at that. many of these films have plotholes, hell the most beloved comic book film yet, TDK, can go under the most rigorous scrutiny and come up with lots of crazy things that doesn't seem logical. No comic book movie is perfect. Hell the whole no killing thing can be construed as ridiculous. Joker kills people, Bats catches him and locks him up, Joker escapes and kills more people and then Bats just locks him back up. But if Bats kills him, only one person dies instead of hundreds or thousands body count the Joker have accumulated. But that's a whole another intense discussion.

Comedy everytime I step in here BURN SINGER BURRRRNNNNNN!

How we got TV series with a higher budget costume design than this crap!!!

We better get plenty of screen time of Colossus and Ice-Man in their mutant form.

They won't do either justice.. So don't even get your hopes up..

Bobby drake is literally one of the most powerful mutants on the planet, do you think they show anything even remotely close to that?
