I started reminiscing about the 90s and discovery zone popped into my head. I remember how much i loved running around and jumping into the ball pitts. I even used to get my young mack on by getting the the girls to come play with me.

anybody remember running up this:
700

I loved how discovery zone had all these awesome promotions:

here some more pics and vidsfor the fans of DZ:

Anybody else think it would be a good idea to bring this back especially with all the child obesity.

I don't know why they don't have these kind of places around anymore. I guess considering everyone being "lawsuit happy" nowadays, it's a huge liability risk. Definitely miss this

your probably right people being so soft these days. you might get sued for stubbing your toe

Appreciated. That roller slide would hurt my butt, but it was fun. The one at Kings Plaza was massive.

DZ >>>>>>>>>>>> Chuck E. Cheese

For my NYC guys, Funtime USA > DZ >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Chuck E. Cheese

This place was awesome. I never went to a birthday party here but went to some girl's party that had one at a knock-off place called Leaps N Bounds  Wasn't at nice

And then when they added laser tag :pimp:

Doesn't Chuck E. Cheese have an indoor playground like DZ? I thought that's one of the reasons why they went out of business, when Chuck E. Cheese started copying them

Funland = Planet Fun = Discovery Zone > Chuck E. Cheese

Funland had the big red virtual reality indoor rollercoaster joint x laser tag :smokin

Used to Love Discovery Zone in Charleston, SC. It was SOOOO much better than Chuck E Cheeses.  The feeling of waking up in the morning and knowing Discovery Zone was on the agenda for the day = PRICELESS.

DZ was definitely better than Chuck-E-Cheese, but ShowBiz Pizza Place was miles ahead due to the Rock-A-Fire Explosion alone.

DIDN'T THEY SHUT DOWN CAUSE A LITTLE KID GOT HANGED TO DEATH IN THOSE STRING CRAWL THINGYS

I WAS SHOOK AS A KID TO GO THERE AFTER HEARING THAT ON THE NEWS

I would give anything to go back in that monster *** ball pit :smh:

We used to have one in Georgia. Me, my brother, and cousins always used to go, always a lot of fun.

I always clipped my fingers on that roller slide, always get my fingers stuck in there or something. **** was amazing though, loved it.

Along with Chuck E. Cheese, The Jungle, and Lazer Quest, these were my spots as a young kid growing up in the Bay
