What's up NT. Post pictures of your buddy, and any tips on training and raising doggies just right. I got this little guy about 2 months ago. The person i got him from told me he is a miniature pinscher and jack russell terrier mix, but he's already 27 pounds at only 4 and a half months of age, which makes him bigger than both those breeds. Any insight on to what he could be would be appreciated.

My best bud!

Start training them immediately, when they get older i hear its harder to train them. Show them lots of love and he'll be the most loyal dog ever!

Looks like i might have to buy a little hoodie. Especially since those eastcoast winters are going to be rough

this thread makes me want a dog so bad :frown:

OP's dog is dope as hell.

I really want to adopt a dog but i have a couple of questions.

1) How do you guys deal with the death of your pets, I know that has to be hard and that's what i keep thinking about.
2) Is it possible to provide a dog with a great loving atmosphere if you work a lot. I mean I work 40 hours a week, thats not a lot. I don't know if the dog will feel neglected or something though, like how often should I interact.

1. It's hard as hell, nothing you can do but accept it when it happens.
2. Not really but it depends on the breed. You gotta have someone around to walk it and give it the attention and exercise that it needs. I

I really wish I had a dog, I'd go running with it every morning. You guys have some nice dogs.

Its hard to deal with a passing. Not much you can do really, unless you get another pet that looks similar to ease the pain.
I think its possible, but only with adopting a dog other than a puppy. Puppies require a LOT of attention so a full days work would get in the way of training.

He goes by Megatron

1. It's tough to deal with an animal passing, you gotta deal with it by just enjoying all the time you can with your pups

2. If I were single and worked 40 hours a week, I'd adopt a slightly older dog like a couple years old... because most of them are already house trained and don't require as much attention as a puppy would, because puppies need a lot of attention.

Cam - she always sits and looks out window like a cat

Ryan - he always sleeping on kitchen floor or in basement where it's cool and hardwood floors.. rarely sleeps on carpet floors upstairs

Good advice, carver. Im single and work a typical 9-5 office job. Definitely will look for a dog that a year and half or so old.

No problem DA.. me and my ladies hours worked good together so we ended up getting both our dogs as puppies at 12weeks.. if I could go back, I would have gotten already trained dogs

training pups is fun, but it requires a lot a lot of patience..
