my lil homie

I gotta take him to the park with me so he can get more exercise than he does now

Haha yep he absolutely loves it. He actually starts going nuts if he sees me or my girl in a bathing suit
laugh.gif

Here's an old video, now he actually leaps off the steps

he'll do this for hours

he's definitely a pathetic swimmer compared to other dogs though. I think it's a Boxer thing

Haha yeah, I think the breed aren't great swimmers.

I need to take my Boxer to the beach and let him loose. He has yet to experience that.

Looking through these photos, I'm convinced boxers, pugs and frenchies are the clown breeds of the dog world.

Really want a French myself.

lol Boxers are really intelligent and goofy. Love them.

I, too, want a frenchie, but the cost of one is way out of my price range...

If you can, please look into adopting a pooch from a shelter. There are tons of great dogs available that are looking for a "forever home". After looking extensively for the right pooch, we adopted our girl about 3 years ago. We couldn't have wished for a better dog. She's absolutely perfect. I honestly think we were some how fated to get this dog because I think of her as the family's guardian angel...

My wife & I just came across this vid last night... If we lived near this shelter, we would've snapped these 2 dogs right up...

+1 for going the shelter/rescue route. My wife and I always went through breeders in the past. We chose to adopt our new dog from a local Pug rescue group. Best decision we've ever made (with dogs).

When we picked him up he was extremely under weight (not from the rescue group- they only had him 3 days) and completely nervous/scared. 7 months later, he's an entirely different dog that now runs the house. Seeing him make a complete 180 in both personality and health has been incredible. I don't think we'll ever go through another breeder. There's far too many dogs out there that need a home.

+1 on the shelters, especially if you live near a Military base.

At Sill, I go over there sometimes and they got ike 5 different pits, some Boxers, some weenies, a lot of beautiful dogs that all look so sad until you walk within 30ft of them on the parking lot/fence side or when you walk down the hall. I'm not even a dog person by any means, never had one, but since then I visit like 1nce a week and want to get 1 when I get out of this house and always shoot Glides and show them to my friends trying to get them to go rescue one, especially the Pitts. I don't know if there's a policy on if they aren't adopted by x days euthanize or what, but there's this beautiful 10 month old blue one that has been there a month at least. Oh, and it;s only $32 with microchip, registration, 19 pt inspection, etc. the whole deal. Most of the time they get turned in to there by soldiers who finally came up on the list for housing or bought a house in a neighborhood that doesn't allow pets or a certain breed or are PCSing or moving into an apartment or something. I'm going to post the last video I shot 3 weeks ago in there

Ahhhhhh so we named her HarperLilly I'm in loooove, we've had her for a week and it's been tough, getting her into a routine, waiting 40 minutes for her to poop after her feeding to make sure she goes on the weewee pad, not to mention she brought a virus and got my older dog sick, but things are falling into place, my pug detests her tho...lol she's kind of annoying, specially to my other dog, keeps biting her tail, stealing her toys, jumping at her face, is freaking hilarious yall...lol

Some pics..

Once I get a steady job and a good size place I'm getting a puppy.

Some of these pics :wow:

I can honestly say I've learned so much from my pooch. I truly learned to love unconditional, to enjoy the moment, & there are somethings that will just be & you will have no control over it (the serenity prayer).

I mean, I knew those things but my pooch really helped me truly understand them & live them. For that, I will always be grateful to her & love her to the fullest.

When you spend over fifteen years together, its an emotional challenge to separate. When you spend many of those years battling cancer as a unit, “emotional challenge” takes on a whole different meaning. Ben Moon and his dog Denali spent a large portion of their inseparable relationship adventuring around the world, but the latter half of the story finds them blossoming into a definitively symbiotic relationship. Accordingly, Denali was initially created as a tribute to the dog, who saw Moon through chemotherepy and radiation but passed before he could survive cancer himself. A real-life ‘man and his dog’ tale worthy of your attention this afternoon, check out Denali above.

^^^^Cool vid. I actually thought the video would be even more sad but it was more sweet if any. Nothing beats Last Hours With Oden video. No BS, I literally cry when I see that video and I know it to heart now.
