**Official Post Your Dog Thread**

Raise your dogs the right way.  I know I'd kill for my dogs.
Repped.

This is so very true, before I met my wife’s dog, most of our family dogs we’ve had in the past growing up were always outside dogs, minimal indoor training etc.

With Angel, my wife did a great job training her where she can pretty much communicate with us on what she needs or wants, so she’s inside the house all the time.

So it’s funny when my in-laws tells us stories about their day with Angel as if she’s a person, she basically is a part of the family and knows them as her “grandpa” and “grandma”.

My wife really had a hard time the first year or so of leaving her behind and felt guilty for it, but with her parents being advanc ed in age and retired I felt Angel could be more beneficial staying and looking after them.

So yeah, I also agree with your last sentiment. They truly are more than just pets they are family.

Is it true that shaving off a dog's whiskers is bad?

My dad took our dog somewhere where she contracted a whole bunch of fleas. So we decided to take her to the vet and he gave her some pills to take and recommended we cut all her hair off. Whoever groomed her yesterday had the smart idea to completely shave everything off, even her whiskers.

Your groomer is a idiot and you should throw a huge fit. :smh:

trust me, I was pissed. I wanted to **** somebody up. My parents are idiots, I specifically told my mom to tell the groomer not to cut her whiskers, I know she was crying in pain :frown:

Wow cool Ridgeback. I feel like that's what I will choose for my next dog.

Thanks man.I love him he's a super good dog. Just what I like in a dog. Very mellow yet will kill any intruder. He's always been good with my daughter. They are both 7 so he was a puppy when she was a baby. The only issue is he is very dog aggressive. But only to dogs he see's as competition. Like little dogs he's fine with. I will get another one I think sometime in my life.

Gotta love coming back from pet smart with brand new chew toys and seeing that wagging tail and your dog getting excited. Puts a huge smile on my face

I saw videos of that dog popping up over the last couple of weeks... Sooooo awesome. Buddy's having a hell of a time at the beach on some real life YOLO ****.

Were any of you in a situation where you had to move, but all apartments/available places had a restricted list on dogs? I have a pit bull mix, and I'm sure that plenty of places wouldn't allow him even though he's the most playful dog ever.
What did/would you do?

I'm not sure if I can lie on the application, maybe I can, and then dress him up on move in day

^yeah man she's playful for sure lol. What are y'all's opinions on yearly vaccinations for dogs. I've read a few articles where they say dogs don't need yearly vaccines and that's how vets make their money. How do y'all feel about that, and if it's any truth how often do you get your dogs vaccinated?
