How do you stop your dog from begging for food
If hes learned to do it over the years its going to be basically impossible for him to stop. I FIRMLY tell my dog NO and he will walk away from me when im eating, but he'll atleast try everytime.

Him and my new pup still arent getting along. They stare at each other too long and its a wrap. Before, my puppy would back away and I would have to hold back my older dog, now if they bark at each other the pup will try to get at my older now too.

Old man just doesnt wanna be bothered, pup just wants to play. Outdoors they are fine.

Time for the most part is the only thing.. I been there.. And thell always be a risk..lay hands on both them if need be..I deal will hundred plus pound dogs so I have to remain in charge by any means..I don't like it but you have to put an end to it or one can end up dead or seriously injured so it's for the best..

You got to check them both.. They'll know their place once you lay down the law in front of both.

I do. I yank my older dog and yell at both of them. Havent put hands on the puppy, he prolly thinks im just playing with him.

Should I resort to a small spank soon? Yelling at both of them stops it, but it starts 2 seconds later when they look at each other again. My puppy has no fear of my commands of voice yet.

I doubt the pup is the problem..
It's usually the big dog doesn't like the actions of the pup or is annoyed by em..I don't want to say yo lay hands on the pup but do so accordingly.

The pup will not b capable to kill yet but the big dog will so it's your job to let him know your not having this
The pup has no attention span so yeah he won't b bothered by your disciplines

Reassure the big guy your still with em but I'm telling you if there doing it again right after your reacting then your not doing enough..

Do they both have wired kennels!? They shu'd and if they do after you react throw there *** in the kennel right after and do the ignoring thing like I previously said

Pup has a cage, never crate trained my first dog (which is probably why hes a little *****, super anxious when alone). Crate training has done the pup wonders, he's fine a lone in his crate. I dont leave him in there too long though.

My older dog doesnt like other dogs period, he wasnt socialized properly, but he is obedient. I firmly tell him no, and he stops eventually but now I may just have to resort to spanking him. The lil pup is growing fearless as well, he'll bark just as hard as my older dog.

Yeah way to over react. Yall dudes treating your pets like humans and wonder why it takes more than a day to teach them something. It's a damn dog, punish them the same way their real mothers would

Beautiful dogs, guys. Keep the pics coming, and don't be shy about volunteering for your local pet rescues.

How can I get my dog to stop biting everything she finds on the floor? She just chewed my USB into pieces

my dog always does this when my dad comes home, every day, it never fails

ive found that either putting 2 sided tape or use vaseline and black pepper... the get a whiff of it or taste it and tend to turn away from it.

Wow thats awesome.

He must be a loving dog. Hows everyday life with him or if hes alone? Can he navigate your house just fine or..?

congrats man! cute little guy. my pup is 8 mo old and still comes after my girls toes

You shouldn't get a pet when you're struggling to feed yourself.

JP fam, glad you went with a rescue, it's the only way!
My bad, should have clarified. I volunteer with a pet rescue, but this particular pic is from another local rescue. Always looking for foster homes and volunteers.

I didn't know you used to breed. bonez7 bonez7 Explains how you knew them big *** pits I posted.

Going through the pics in here makes me want a dog so badly, hopefully I can afford one when I get out on my own. Any of y'all own a cat and a dog? Hows the relationship?
