MJ wearing black/gum soled XI's

Recently MJ was spotted rockin what looks like a low top version of the Space Jams. After closer review, the soles appear to be that yellowish gum colored rather than a yellowed out clear sole.

What do you think? Are these gum soled or yellowed out clear soles?

With the rumor that a black/red and concord low pack dropping, can we expect more XI lows to drop this year?

They look like yellowed soles to me as well. Probably trying to wear them out so he can start wearing another ds pair he has stashed in his closet. They Actually look good though.
 
Yellowed soles still have somewhat a transparent look, unless they've been worn and beaten since 1996! They are gum colored all around. Besides, you really think MJ would be wearing some old *** kicks that have yellowed out?

Exactly they are gum buttoms..... Why in the world would MJ wear some piss yellow shoes.... When that shoe represents him

like Ijp said mj's shoes are always fresh out the box aside from the 1's vs the knicks
 
At least they're gumsoled and yellowed already. Not bad but still looks better with clear soles.
 
theyre gum. the color is too solid to be yellowing. its also the same color throughout the entire sole

(i could get behind this shoe, but if you're gonna change the outsole, just make it translucent black).
(Also, MJ doesn't wear old shoes; his shoes are so new he doesn't receive them in boxes...they come in bags. Ask him).

They do look more gum bottom than yellowed to me too. Either way they look dope.

I think all signs point to them being gumsole PEs.

1. White Jumpman logos. White/black/gumsole is one of THE most traditional colorways in the history of Nike, and sneakers in general.

2. The cut of the patent looks very thin like the new XI mold, meaning these are from 2009 at the absolute earliest. I dont think his kicks would yellow that much that fast.

3.The "Milky toe" indicates these were probably made in 2011 or later. Even when older clear soles turned totally yellow you could still see the patent behind the toe.

4. OK... we all know MJ isnt the most "fashionable" man on the planet... but he almost always color coordinates his outfits... Hes wearing "Gum-ish" colored shorts and a black shirt.

5. Hes MJ for christ sake... He has the resources to get any shoe in any colorway at basically any point in time. No way would he be wearing old shoes to hoop in even if he is only playing against little girls... litterally :tongue:
