Not entirely accurate. There have been re-retros with better quality in comparison to their predecessor. It happens, just not often enough.

You are correct, it's not entirely accurate. The military IV's come to mind...I didnt cop the 2012's, but I heard their quality was better than the '06 (which I have...and hate).

But speaking in generals, I still stand by my statement.

And i'm not complaining either...For the most part, I cop regardless. I do put my foot down for some retros though...White/Red XIV's come to mind...as do the Olympic VII's. Straight basura.

MN is garbage, dont know why you guys still follow anything that site says or does :smh:

Knowing JB theyll switch things up...no way theylll be like the LS release back in 06

Maybe theyll switch the aqua and grape around?

True and false. I haven't worn my Cavs IV's yet, so I cannot speak on them. But as far as the wc IV's go...they are BETTER quality, yes..."Good" quality, not so sure about. Leather is SUPER hard and stiff. Not too many glue stains, but the truth of the quality wont be revealed until they are worn a few times. For the record, my wc iv's are still ds also, but how many wears until the midsole cracks, I wonder? 12? 20? Less?

I have worn mine over 20x and still no cracks. I love the stiff leather. Dont se why it is a reason to complain. I didnt get a half size down since it was the 1st IV of the year and it still hasnt creased that bad. The Fire Red IVs came with more creases than my WCs have now.

Stiff vs soft leather is a personal preference, NOT a quality issue. I wish the Fire Reds came with that leather tbh. And if comfort truly bothered you, you would not get jordans in the first place. A pair of worn, snug Vs are the only truly comfortable pair in recent history (my opinion). Cant speak on last years IIIs since I missed out on them (I am hunting the two I want down tho)

If the average Jordan Brand shoe was Cav IV quality, there would be no reason to complain. Mine are still deadstock too, but come on, you can just tell. Besides that shoe has been nothing but praised on NT and that is a rarity.

And yes there is quality that is bad but you can't complain (like the recent Military IVs, they are not bad, they are just not good). Then there is quality so bad I think of burning down corporate headquarters in hopes that they get the message (Fire Reds). Im pretty sure everyone who complained about the FIre Reds wouldnt complain if it were Military IV quality, we'd say a few words of disappointment and then enjoy our shoe, as we know it could be much much worse.

I missed the 06 release. I will miss this one also. I'm one of the few that do not particularly care for the color way. I'll get the fire reds though! :smokin :smokin :smokin

Knowing JB, they'll put the "23" on the side to distinguish it from the '06 version. :smh:

I hope they don't though.

ONLY SHOE I WILL DOUBLE UP ON

same here and the Chicago 1s

Just wondering, how come no one likes the "23" on the side of the V's? I personally don't mind it.

Its because the OG's did not have it. personally I dont mind it after all its MJ's number.

I cant wait for some grapes, hopefull JB dont mess them up.

Grape V's are just wishful thinking right now.

I don't know why I have to post this every time it comes up.

Wait for something from Nike, no one else.

It seems very out of place. MJ wore the Fire Red 5's with the 23 on the side, but it just doesn't look right on the Black/Silver and White/Black in my honest opinion.
