Examples:

- He singlehandedly revived the word "swag". After they lamed that hit out with that "Swagger Like Us" song wasn't nobody saying it. Basedgod got famous on the internet and it was his #1 ad-lib...now all these young rappers that got hot in 2010 started using it( ASAP, OF, + many more new youngins...and even some rappers that's been in the game longer (Kanye, Big Sean, etc.).

- The trend of rappers saying "I think I'm (insert something ridiculous here) - That's Lil B's **** all the way and ya'll know it. Ross bit it first w/ BMF (coincidentally Ross also jacked some of his ad-libs on the Albert Anastasia EP).

Tell me this don't sound like Lil B talking **** before a verse



That's just one example. There's plenty of different rappers taking different ad-libs or sayings that he popularized.

- Cooking dance. Everybody and their mama was doing that ****. From football players as TD celebration...to other rappers doing it...to people literally putting videos on you tube of their mama doing that ****.

- Guess how Kreayshawn got hot? - Lil B (ain't that ******g crazy if you think about it?)

- How did Clams Casino blow up? - Lil B (In fact, Lil B was the first one on this whole ambient hip hop wave that has made it's way in the game)

In short...alot of rappers have clearly been influenced by Lil B and have applied certain nuances of his character...to their image, just without all the extra stuff that comes w/ Lil B. This ***** Wiz literally was cooking his *** off and every damn show he had in 2010. There's plenty other examples I'm sure people can add in.

Anyone who denies that Lil B created a lane for a lot of these up and coming artists is lying to themselves. What really sucks is that all those people are profiting majorly from it and he's not. Its mostly his fault because he refuses to reign himself in for the sake of it, but I cant really knock him for sticking to his principles and staying Truly Based

It's sad that he's not getting his proper respect for creating the lane most of these rappers are in right now. Some straight up diss him for whatever reason to distance themselves from him, but blatantly take his style and profit from it. B is truly a unique individual in the rap game of today, and maybe 15 - 20 years from now people will realize how much of an impact he truly had and how he reinvented the genre itself. I mean, even the production he chooses to rap over is on some other level...







Sidenote: I die a thousand deaths every time he does his new adlibs, "MMMMMMMMMMM!", "BASEDGOD!", UHHHHHHHH!", "AHHHHHHHH!"
 
Yup I started noticing this alot once I started listening to ASAP Rocky & Spaceghostpurrp. Most of these dudes stole dudes swag but tried to make it more acceptable by not calling themselves a pretty ***** amongst other suspect things Lil B called himself lol. Hes changed hip hop for better & for worse cause dude also made it seem like having no flow & lyrics was cool too lol. I still listen to him from time to time tho....Wanton Soup >>>>>>>>>>
 
so your basing the thought of him having this big influence Because

1) Asap & OF use the word swag as an adlib.... & the fact that some rappers decided to cook, and oh lets not forget the monumental meme that he has on tumblr... This is what you call a big influence?

Thwe only thing that's true out of this ridiculously bias post is that lil B influenced two groups (A$AP & OF) into using the word swag as an adlib. Coincedentally both of those groups share some of the same fanbase as lil B & are big on the blogs/tumblr

* The general public only KNEW who kraeshawn was because of gucci gucci & White girls using the N Word
* I didnt know of clams casino until A$ap, and the general public still doesnt know exactly who clams casino is.

So if buy big influence you mean he was able to get a lot of tumblr love than yea he's influential:smh:. It seriously disgust me that dudes go so hard to make this guy seem as if he's a game changer or remotely good at anything he does, he sucks at rapping, He's borderline ******ed, Dudes check him out to laugh at his foolishness, yet you fools wanna call him genius (I've heard that several times) meanwhile these same dudes say cats like Cole & Kendrick our overated, or WTT is a wack album.
 
Lil B has a beginning and Lil B will have an end....all this success he is having is for a reason...he's not a good rapper like that but he's just going all out...and thats what people respect...

i like some of his songs because its interesting to see him be completely illogical, psychological and just radical with his content and subject matter...but he doesnt flow! he's anti-flow

but when it comes down to it......Lil B is comedic relief for this rap ****...

sometimes i really hate some of the **** he does...but some of it is really reflective and positive..a lot of his work is bull **** though...he does do a good job at keeping it 100 he talks about it in his music

you see the difference when hes actually tryna rap and its like >D he's really just doing a super avante garde type of performing right now...Im a fan and Im not...I just understand

he didn't make Kreayshawn hot really...Kreayshawn was the one doing all the ****** videos and ****...thats how she got in

ASAP is lame for swagger jacking but that goes without sayin...

ALSO while you talk about these nobodies he supposedly made hot (Slutty Boyz :x ) Lil B takes from people all the time....he uses other peoples flow, styles, adlibs...so good job for making another thread for your boy who already has one of the biggest threads in the forum :rolleyes

I hate to sound like a hipster, but in my opinion dude definitely switched up his style/motive a while back.

Back before the thread on NT, I didn't want anyone to succeed more than this dude. I said 6Kiss was the Illmatic of this generation

I dont no much about Lil B and i dont really care for his music. Its just not my style but what does based god mean or stand for? sorry i'm 26 and i'm on that new nas album.
