Trading J's online

Similar to what Mantis Toboggan had said, "Trusted Kicks" provides a trade middleman service.

Personally, I just don't do it. I'll just buy your shoes and sell mine. I don't do trades in the mail.

When i ask ppl how they propose a trade, iff the other guy says "ship at the same time" with the quickness its usually a scammer.  Usually ill suggest paypal way and they'll be like no or whatever.

So last time i did a trade i decided lemme test it out. Dude shipped same time as me. I didn't send him a package but I gave him a tracking number of another package that i sent out. He gave me tracking and sure enough he sends me a box  with some ****** old *** shoes prob worth 15$. Msgd me saying my tracking shows it delivered to wrong address, im like dude u sent me these ****** shoes and never heard back from him...

on contrary if he sent me the actual shoes, i would have sent out his pair the next day with priority shipping cuz i wouldn't scam anybody like that. and i would have explained i gave him wrong tracking number lol.

actually i have done J's trade with one of NT member here @Funkman

believe or not we both trade without middleman, straight swap ship our pairs at same time and turn out pretty good (no bogus, no fake pair, no scew up whatsoever)

the first thing if u want to do sneaker trade without middleman better do it on forum like NT or SC, look out for his trader feedback, join date and post.

Sounds like you were trying to scam him too

If you provided him with a new tracking number once his legit pair came in your new tracking would say post office accepted on this date. Would you reimburse him for the time you took to ship?

What you should do is:

1. Both parties should send each other money via paypal. If the shoes are worth $200 each, each party will send $200. Once the shoes are received, that money is refunded back the the payer. That way if one of the parties decide not to send the shoes, a paypal claim can be filed. If the shoes aren't as described, the shoes will be sent back and the money minus shipping will be refunded.

2. Search for Facebook Groups in your area for selling or trading shoes. It works just as good as Craigslist.

I have proposed many online trades and i always ask to use a third party site and always turned down or never hear back because they don't wanna deal with the extra time it takes shipping to someone else then them. Then I ask if they'd be willing to ship first and that gets shot down as well... I don't get it with so many scammers I don't know why people would mind going thru a reputable third party. With saying that in all the years I've been in the shoe game I've never made an online trade. Lots locally thru fb groups or Craigslist. In the end I feel it's probably a good Idea to just buy what you want thru paypal

na i wouldn't have scammed him, i was thinking of sending him a 5 giftcard to starbucks lol thats all i had. but didn't have to worry about it

what will that buy? 1 sugar cube?
lol pretty much  but it sounded like a scam from the get go. i was pretty sure just based on how he was responding to my questions n such

So if it sounded like a scam why did you proceed? :\

You were going to send him a $5 gift card :rolleyes what if he was legit and was heading out of town and the mail man left it on his doorstep and eventually got lost?? Still sounds like you were trying to scam him as well but that's just my opinion.

Like others have said I'd rather sell then buy

I only do trades in person now. I did one trade online that worked out really well for me, but I had two that didn't work out so well. I got scammed once and the other time the shoes I received were in horrible condition and the photos were deceiving. I can't take that risk anymore. I'd rather just buy something if I want it or do local swaps. Sometimes you can't be sure that someone won't scam you even if they have higher feedback.

Feedback isnt always legit also. I buy a lot of items off eBay and a few times when I have asked the sellers questions I get an email back from someone saying their account has been hacked and to not buy. It's not hard to believe people do this to come up on kicks. Been trying to trade a pair of aqua 8s and finally got an offer I liked. Me and dude live an hour apart and he refused to meet half way. So I offered to drive to his city and meet up at a McDonald's and he still refused said only way he'd do the trade was thru the mail and I had to ship first.

I took some cock bags word for a "ship at the same time trade" after claiming to be a Marine. He said he lived two hours South of me in Crete, IL. I have a Thunder 4/Infrared 3 for trade and were swapping for some Cords and Gamma's. I knew the trade was in my favor & sounded to good to be true. Any way, we shipped at the same time, I got a box with some sheets. Thank God I was able to intercept my kicks and get them  back. Never again will I do that. I basically put all trust in him after a ton of texts, pictures (from Pinger, which at the time I had no idea what that was) and him saying he was a Marine. Lie to be about being ANYTHING else at all, not military. I am a Vet so that hits home a little for me. Anyway, his name was David Lee 546 Munz St, Crete, IL. If that name ever pops up, tell him to go **** himself.
