Official New York Giants 2013 Off-Season thread: (2014 schedule on page 87)

Randle and Myers are idiots.

We really have no TE, Myers is garbage and can't block, can't catch.

What I did like seeing, Eli having time to actually throw the ball, some actual run blocking for Jacobs (1st time all year).

What I disliked, the bad routes esp by Randle which led to the pick 6, how bad our TE has looked all season.

Unreal.

Im numb to it. All myers on the last pick.
I wasnt at all enthralled with the signing. Hes an average reciever and can't run block for jack. Better off with a ballard/pascoe platoon.

anyways..........yeah...this is as low as it gets.

Oh, and the pass rush is not there, Giants were lucky to even be in this game.

Gilbride's playcalling leaves little room for error, guy is the absolute worst.

9 shotgun draws for a measly 25 yards. And he calls it in crucial situations.

That ain't on Eli.

About half of them aren't on Eli. 6-8 of them are either tipped, kicked or a WR not running their route correctly. ******g sick

**** is funny at this point. Tipped, kicked, miscommunications. 15 INT's through 6 games..... Wow.

It's crazy how almost every game it's the same damn story. Competitive for 3 quarters then something happens at the end and they shoot themselves in the foot. Never seen anything like this. Most garbage teams are just bad and their games are rarely competitive.

Can't wait until Gilbride is gone.

Giants played their *** off, they are just not good enough at the current moment with the players on the field.

Fewell's defense was killed by slants, skinny posts and drag routes....what else is new?

On the bright side, Pugh has blocked well all night, guy is the goods.

Yes...theyve won dispite killdrive...not because.

Playcalling has always been vanilla and predictable. ..in particular my favorite....the shotgun inside handoff to jacobs on 2nd and 3rd and medium/long..

That's always been the deal with Eli's INT. A lot of them are tipped or redirected, but hey, that's part of the game. Myers shouldve caught that last ball last night.

With the two minute warning and three timeouts, why are they even taking shots down field. Hate this high risk offense, leaves little room for error especially with the lack of protection

Man this. We've seen Eli drive it the length in less than two minutes. But with two minutes to go from their 40 we're in a rush? Smh. It's like there's no situational awareness. Defense was getting gashed all night. We needed to milk the clock down with small plays underneath and to make sure we closed out the game. But no we gotta throw it over top smh. Hate to say it but for the rest of the year Eli needs to play like Matt Ryan. That line can't hold up long enough for those big plays to develop.

My favorite Gilbride call was on 1st and goal after Brandon Jacobs was ripping off tons of big runs and we go with Scott who is stopped cold. Jacobs comes in next play and runs it in. But its like, why did you even waste that first down?

Fewell has to take some blame too. His defense has looked unmotivated all season. Players out of position often. No one ripping at the ball. No one hitting hard. No schemes to neutralizes opposing teams best weapons. Everyone just looking around when something bad happens smh. He's been living off Spags work for long enough.

and if Eli was checking down all night you guys would complain that they weren't opening the playbook up.

it wasn't a bad play call at all.  intermediate length (15-20 yards) passing play and the receiver was WIDE OPEN.  Myers was the only dude that deep so it's not like it was a 4 deep route.  Eli just let the ball sail a tinyyy bit and Myers is a garbage enough receiver that he can't make any play that involves leaving his feet (or staying on the ground for that matter.)  Jacobs was running for 3 yards, 1 yard, 11 yards in that order over and over again and the receivers dropped tons of balls underneath.  So it's not like there was any guarantee they'd move the ball the whole way.  You have an opportunity you take it.

It was a good play call, so-so execution, and the worst out of 4 possible outcomes.  It sucks, but that one wasn't on Gilbride.

There was no need to throw 15-20 yards in that situation whatsoever when they are already approaching the goal line and the objective is to kill clock also, awful time management. Gilbrides nonstop aggressive play calling is why the offense is completely erratic, when Eli calls the no huddle everything looks in sync and easier.

When you're struggling and looking for something positive, it's time to change things up a bit. Gilbrides playing too aggressive and living dangerously considering the circumstances with no RB, no te, and no offensive line.
