It's a little hard to see on the cover, so in case anyone is wondering, the album is "Gemini" by Wild Nothing. I really love this album, but I think I like his newer one more.

i think due to the nature of this board (HEAVILY focused on rap and R&B), this thread can and should include a pretty broad variety of "indie" music (including major label bands).

that way we have greater participation and fewer fractured threads.

kinda like the "what rock music are you listening to" thread back in the day...

i just meant that on the first page there seemed to be confusion about what could and should be posted in here. obviously the OP should have the final say... but i felt like we shouldn't put a strict definition on "indie" for the purposes of this thread... that way it might have more participation and spark more discussion.

i think the bands/songs being posted so far are a great start!

Completely agree. There shouldn't be a strict definition on 'Indie' at all. With 'Indie' I meant genres that are Indie or are close to it (i.e. Alternative, Dream Pop, Synthpop, Folk, etc.).

This is my favorite Local Natives track. I used to play the hell out of them a few summers ago. I really liked Camera Talk too[if IE]><embed src="" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="640" height="390" /><![endif]

That whole album is great to me, I've been waiting for them to release something new.  I've seen them twice and they were so solid, great show on Halloween a couple years ago where the came out for the encore in costumes.
