INDIE Music Thread

Although the music video is still in the works, here is the debut studio single, "Baddest" by Jeanne. I'm taking hip hop and rap, and blending it with beatboxing. If you're digging it let me know, hope ya'll enjoy.

The new Les Sins album is :pimp:

But if you heard Chaz's last two boiler room mixes in its entirety, you heard majority of the album.

what's everyone's faves from the year? it's that time...

also, anyone here from SF? would be cool to have more homies to go to the more obscure shows. don't know too many people down to catch peaking lights haha

so far this Les Sins project is the best indie album i've heard all year..

care to post any suggestions, i've been slacking on that indie wave this year..

dude same. sat down last night and was like damn i haven't been on game this year.

but really like Peaking LIght's new album. Dum Dum Girls' album from early in the year had some good tracks.

I enjoyed Les Sins. I understand what Chad is doing, delving into the trendy-er tropes with the dancy stuff. It was time to bring that back.

i was giving iceage's album a listen, it was good but need another spin to dissect it.

Caribou's new album was never going to top Swim, but I dug it and can't wait to catch him next year.

Gonna spend the rest of the year going balls deep into the backlog.

My favorite albums of the year come from Chromeo, Warpaint, and First Aid Kit. Peaking Lights is dope there radio channel on spotify is one of my favorites.

I know there was talk about Banks, after watching her Tiny Desk Concert I feel she should just stick to acoustics. It doesn't seems to drown out her voice as much.

St. Vincent is my #1 this year. The only real solid on my top 10 list as of now.

Also, just saw Les Sins tonight. It wasn't really a performance moreso just Chaz DJing but still pretty cool nonetheless. Why is literally one of the greatest songs live omg.
