he tweeted its a double album...second disc will includes unreleased tracks and demos and etc

but i knew this album sound was going to be different when he said it wouldnt have no synths or electronic sounds....

will wait and see i guess

To what relates to me more..

Confused>Love> this new wave

Sometimes I think fans expect to much from someone whos been giving them dope music for long periods of time. If Cudi stopped making music from this point already knowing what he's delivered up to this time. Hes got a pass as a good artist with classics which is hard to get to. So I grant artist a pass for personal freedom sometimes. If he proves to be shattered after we get a fully released project then we will know the truth of his music making ability at this point. But he put out a partially crappy track, alright, the critiques mostly givin are accurate but that doesn't mean ground Zero. Lets wait and see. Every project he's put out whether you like it or not has shown progression. Artist like him, kanye, andre, common, yasiin, need to be able to go into different lanes in order to express their true artistry that's how they don't get trapped like juicy j, rakewon, stalley etc.. let them cook, mess up, we know they respect artistry, so lets see what the final product is when the entree is served.

So basically we've seen the best he has to offer...How can you not be trying to top your best work everytime around?

How did you get that from that?

He's saying he's going (and already has been going) in a different direction. Which if you follow him has been clear as day. He doesn't go in and say "How do I make a better album than MOTM 2"

He says "How can I make a really dope album doing what I wanna do using the sounds I want to use"

I'm glad he spoke on this. This isn't WZRD era. Cudi has just as many albums that sound like his new one than that sound like MOTM. 3 to 3 if you count the mixtape. If you're still yearning for old Cudi you're a lost cause

This is his way of saying "my music sucks now and I know it."

scotthallwithapick scotthallwithapick consider me lost then because I can't get jiggy with this new ****. People only yearn for "old" versions of artists when their recent work isn't up to par with the past music. Cudi has always been different so we can't use that fake *** excuse. Don't act like the music he's doing now is innovative in anyway, it's just a bad imitation of grunge rock.

My reading comprehension skills been A1 since standardized testing so I see clear as day what he was saying....And it's closer to what cragmatic cragmatic posted than yours.

Never said it was innovative but t's wayyyy left than what he originally did. It's like not he's giving us crappy carbon copies of MOTM1 & MOTM2.

I just dont' get what yall want, clearly he hasn't produced anything to appease yall ever. I only like 1 of the new songs but we are surrounded with 1000's of artists. Just quit complaining after every new song that doesn't sound like "Heart of a Lion"

Seems like he's addressing those who aren't feeling his rock sound and want the MOTM sound back.

Some of his rock sounding songs aren't even bad. I loved Erase Me, but the majority just ain't for me.

I've been following Cudi's career since 08, I still remember the first time I heard "Man on the Moon (The Anthem)", been a (st)fan since.

His first two albums are 5/5, imo.

Reading those tweets he posted earlier sounded like a cop out since his core fans aren't feeling this rock crap he's pushing.

Not saying an artist shouldn't grow and experience w/ new sounds but bad music is well just bad.

WZRD album was terrible minus a couple records.

Satellite Flight gave us "Balmain Jeans" so everyone else on there gets a huge pass.

If "Judgmental" is a preview of things to come, Cudi just lost a fan.

Sad to say.

Cudi as an artist, the Cudi we love, that's not sustainable.

Emotional guy. Depression, highs and lows, drug use, etc. How can an artist make a lifetime body of work about that stuff?

MOTM1 and MOTM2 will never be replicated. On a run like that he was suppose to die after the second album. He's still alive. He's a family man now. That's life. We all love the depressed, drugged out Cudi who once in a while has songs about prospering but that person is long gone.

I appreciate MOTM1 and MOTM2 but that was manifested through a group of incredibly talented people, not just Cudi himself, you have Plain Pat, Emile, Ratatat, and Kanye contributing to that movement. That's A LOT of talent invested in a project.

Cudi is on his own trajectory now, for one reason or another he isn't going to have that team behind him (Plain Pat, Emile, Kanye, etc.) and he himself is not going to deliver anything close to MOTM. With that being said, the new song is TRASH. It is is what it is. I'll forever bump MOTM series but I won't be checking for any of his new stuff.

I shed a tear reading this thinking well never get that Cudi back

No words can describe the impact Just what I am had on my life when it dropped. Loosing some people in my life who I thought were close friends. Song was just too real :smh:

But MOTM1 and MOTM2 will always be appreciated
