Official Trinidad James Thread

Damn the blog/Wshh hype gets real around here... Enough bread to have certain websites under your belt and trash turns to gold

**** is a god damn shame

What's a damn shame is how these days if someone doesn't like something they've already got this preconceived notion in their head that it's hype and everybody who actually likes it is sheep.

I swear I was one of the first to say this on this site and it's crazy how true it's really become but the anti-hypebeast really is the new hype beast.

All that said I wasn't overly impressed with All Gold Everything but it was enough to get me to download the tape bout to check this dude out.

And people say Lil B had no influence. This cat is a carbon copy of him. He's trash just like B though. Y'all be liking some ******** for real.

Go play in traffic. Lil B? That's just disrespectful. You could probably put something out better than that ******** he puts out and you're the critically acclaimed jhwak826 of niketalk.

Just FYI, I responded, but just because you have an opinion, doesn't mean you should express it as it only makes you look ignorant. Sure, he isn't the best, but Lil B? C'mon set ya *** down some where boy.

one of these days a new rapper is gonna be on my laptop, wearing 3x white t's, rocking AF1's and spitting like pun on twinz and cats goin be like this is vintage 00's hip hop.
I dont know why i wrote that, guess you can say im getting tired of gimmic rappers

This isn't a pre conceived notion i listened and he TRASH brings nothing that i don't get from other trap/ entertainment rappers and is taylor made to be a gimmick. Some label or dope boy backed him got him promoted on livemixtapes/ wshh & now people are going to be in here talkin bout this cranks. It happens way too much these days, dudes just want to hype anything even when its clearly bad and super unoriginal.

Trinidad James is BOSS . period!

I have the mixtape off the video "All Gold Everything"

Actually Livemixtapes supports him on their own. Dude is a super humble/nice guy and his buzz is definitely real out here.

What’s your thoughts on Trinidad James?
I think he should write a check to Lil B when he inevitably signs his deal with Nokia or Pizza Hut or Right Guard.

He sounds nothing like Lil b' and the when "All Gold Everything" played at Spelhouse Homecoming, it got way turnt up.

I was feeling the song before I even left for Atl ... I'm from NYC if that matters, and a Lil b fan.

Trinidad James needs a couple of more songs though ... I didn't like the whole mixtape the same way.

So it's a coincidence the day he dropped his video it was on the front page of Livemixtapes (They never do that btw) and on front page of WSHH. He paid to have us talk about him. I'm not hating, just be aware

I don't know anything about that bro.

All I know is the "if I think it's trash, it is trash and anybody who doesn't feel that way is a mindless sheep who's succumbed to the hype train" mindset is tired.

I haven't even listened to the tape btw, and probably won't. It's not like I think dude is nice or something.

Just commenting on a pattern that's been observed for a few years now.

Everything about this dude screams payola, from his tape being marketed so heavy, the whole i just started rapping 7 months ago, no songs to name of before this gold chain steeze. i watched his behind the sceens and it just looks like he is being supported by something, Atlanta music scene is slowly turning into those two dudes from "brown sugar" straight carbon copy bull.

Hot garbage dude is corny and his tape is wack.Sad thing is he has this couture sambo image that will get him in fader with ease.

alot of ya gotta be more savy of da way these record companies are promoting these artist...alot of times they'll push em "low key"

so that da movement looks organic, but in reality they got a machine behind em.

i always thought da way ASAP got on was da same way..silent machine paying off key dudes..this is why they would ONLY play his song at

with certain DJs on a certain time on hot 97 for example.

Exactly. ASAP's movement wasn't organic at all. Not too many movements are.

Something I heard from Tone P (Wale's producer)...never moreso than now in Rap has it been a "take money to make money" approach to getting in the game.

why should anyone have to be savvy to that? why does that even matter how they're being pushed. get the music, if you like it, then listen to it. all that other **** is tom foolery.

it does matter, if da music is craptacular, but all da taste makers are pushing it down da masse's throats, it leaves people who really are generating interest in da cold.
