How long did it take you guys to finally choose what tat you where going to get?

Been wanting a chest piece but I'm conflicted with the actual piece.

I was thinking about the badge for my favorite soccer team but then again it seems corny.

Also was thinking about one side being Mayan influenced and the other Aztec. I'm half Salvadoren and Mexican.

PERSONALLY I TAKE A YEAR IN BETWEEN TATS.

IN THAT TIME, I COME UP WITH AN IDEA, THINK LONG AND HARD ABOUT IT, FIGURE OUT WHERE I WANT TO PUT IT, COME UP WITH A RENDERING, GIVE IT TO MY ARTIST AND LET HIM DO HIS THANG.

WITH TATS, YOU JUST HAVE TO MAKE SURE THATS SOMETHING YOU WANT FOR THE REST OF YOUR LIFE. SO IF YOUR BADGE IDEA IS COOL TO YOU, GET IT. IF THE NEXT PERSON THINKS ITS CORNY, LET EM. THATS JUST THEIR OPINION.

Really heading towards the Mayan/Aztec one but I'd have to do my research and find a great artist

Anyone ever worked with Thomas Hooper at Rock of Ages in Austin? Looking to get a half sleeve and wanted to see how he is to work with.
 
I'm looking to get a shoulder piece done and I'm located in the East Bay Area (More so Vallejo/Richmond/Oakland) If anyone could point me in the right direction that would be dope (a PM is coo too!)
 
Do any of ya'll know someone who does good work on darker skin out in Cali?
 
Been thinking about getting a tattoo of a peacock showing off its feathers because I like to flex/show off.  Seems like the colors could make it a little gay though.  Thoughts?

^^^^How was the pain? I have been really eyeing leg tats as of late. Don't know why since I never looked at my own leg as a spot to get tattooed but when I do see some sleeves, they look dope.

My lower extremities have proven to be the least sensitive to tattoo work so I don't know how my experience will compare with anyone else's, but personally it wasn't that bad. The inner thigh can be delicate, the kneecap is never fun and the hinge / back of the knee is probably the worst, but all in all it was okay.

Also, getting tattooed by two artists at the same time isn't the worst thing in the world. I wouldn't necessarily recommend it, but it wasn't as bad as I had made it out in my head.

Anybody know the style of these two tattoos below? I believe it's biomechanical, but I just want to make sure.
 
Not bio mech but I could see why you would think that since its "in the skin".

Just black and grey and a skin rip tattoo.
