In a review of the Pink Flamingo's on Nightwing's YouTube page he mentioned these 2 pairs specifically again, he said these were a size 15 that were actually made for Wade, so that being said, these might be PE status only. If anything @soleaccomplice on IG always has tons of Wade samples, etc. They might have these...I don't recall. I usually pass on them only because they only ever have size 9 or 9.5.
 
Dc I listen to Paul and Ron on iheart radio big 105.9), they're a local talk show in Miami area. They played a clip from it this morning and shortly discussed it

I think too many of us have been jaded by the rash of lame JB releases selling out day 1, and the endless (and needless) hype on certain Nike/LeBron releases, where it causes us to think that a shoe is only successful if it's a day 1 sell out.

For anyone who has spent some time with this brand knows the type of shoe that they are getting a tremendous price point. I've said this many times that Li-Ning is first and foremost focused on building the brand at home, China. So I don't really think they are expecting ANY of these releases to blow up. Keep in mind that 6....SIX pairs of Encores have become available here in the US almost all within a 5 week period or so. Coupled with almost non existent marketing stateside AND unfortunately Wade losing in the Finals, not to mention the entire Heat organization being overshadowed with LeBron's return home.

Also samples and overseas releases have been available for a while now, so those who are willing to pay extra, already have.

This is still a great brand and I hope that they go forward with the same fervor they have been so far. Once the season starts and Wade is rocking Encore's till the 3 releases (like he did before the 2 last year) these will start to dry up...mark my words. Those faithful to the brand will also continue to do so as we all love the fact that we can cop with relative ease. I'm just happy that for a change I can seemingly cop at my leisure and not have to run around looking for a backup plan on release. Need to recover from taking the kids to Universal Orlando the last week of August. I might as well have been bleeding money for a week.

Oh yea I am total agreement. I have really debated selling some of my stash to grab more wades. I am a fan. I missed out on the WOW1 originally but have been blessed to cop both the Wow1 305 and Veterans Day. Was really close to getting the Cautions but decided to get the 2.0 cautions. 

I am a major fan of the brand. Brings me back to the OG days when shoes were made of something. Some complain about the weight(usually younger individuals who playing in nothing but flyknit and synthetics), but I for one love the weight. I mean it kind of reminds you who is a man because I don't know 1 female with a pair(my wife thought they were heavy). Tried to get a pair for my wife a pair but she didnt want me to drop the money on them.

Overall, I will keep buying. I almost sent back my Fountain Bleau to go down a .5 but I did order the Gold in a .5 smaller. I now have like 8 pair of WOW and funny enough, I bought the original WOW2 Overtown for my pops because he just loved the quality and build. So right now my pops at the age of 60 is rocking Wades. 

He was first to buy my bro and I jordans back in the 90s when they were actually MADE of something, so he loved these because it reminded him of how shoes were back in the day. 
 
dc30 dc30 I appreciate you answering my burning question. Now I can move on and make my decision which pair I want to buy. Just my luck the pairs I really like are samples(at least have size 8.5 samples and around $250 lol). :frown: I mean I could pay extra(rather not though lol) from soleaccomplice but I stick to paying retail for shoes or buy two pairs for the price of samples. I thought it would be easy buying Li-Ning's but it's either I don't know what to buy or they're PEs/expensive. :\

I've paid more per pair for Li-Nings than I have any Nike/JB release in the past three years. Most of the colorways I like are PE/Samples so they fetch $350-$400. I've got the ones I want, probably going to chill on sample pairs for a bit.  
 
zero23 zero23 Yeah I should cut off buying multiples of Kobes, KDs, Lebrons so I could be a sample. I also buy some Adidas. No Jordans for me although kinda interested in the Team Orange XX9. What size did you buy in the 2.5 and 2.0?

I got a 9 in both. 2.5 has more room than 2.0. Coulda gone half size down in 2.5 but I like having a little extra room in them. The 2.0 is very snug.

You basically the opposite of me. I literally just called and got my gold switched from 10 to 9.5 since I know it has that extra room. I prefer it to be a little snug. Plus after wearing my 2s they all loosen up nicely.

I debated/still debating on sending the fountain's back for a 9.5 since those were the first I got to tell the size difference.

Would you say size 8.5 in the Lebron XI fits like 2.0 and 9 like 2.5? Size 9 in Lebron XI fits good with that extra room.

I wear 8.5 in LeBron 9-11. With the exception of the XI Elites I can go 8. Slightly wide foot. I have 8's in all my WoW1's and 2's with the exception of the Christmas 2 at 8.5. The 2.0's in synthetic (ASG, Birthday) are snug city. The leather pairs break in so it's not terrible. My Encore 2.5 is also an 8, with that extra room. IF you have a narrow/regular foot, a .5 down should work if you like a snugger fit. My $.02

As for those black/red joints up above...that is my BEST educated guess...but that is 1 pair that I haven't seen ANYONE have...hence my guess.

Samples are sweet (Royal Flush) but the GR pairs are cool with me. @Turnon is smashing with his sample pick ups though!

Very close to that. Good analogy actually. I have a TNS 2 in an 8.5 that is just too snug for me. There's no way I can do an 8.5. But I'm fairly confident I can do an 8.5 in the 2.5's. I have a size 9 in them and there is a good amount of room, but it's not a deal breaker.
 
Kicking myself just a little bit for passing on these YOTH that just sold for 107. i already have a DS pair but still 107 for DS is great.
 
any updates on the dazzle camo midsoles from 2.5 owners? very tempted to cop the lavas but so damn worried the midsoles are going to chip on 1st wear.  If that is the case, i may have to settle for the announcement 2.5s.. i don't want to walk around all paranoid every step i take lol

Actually just sent back my overtown 2.5s partly because of the midsole. 0 Chance it wouldnt have got destroyed with how hard I am on shoes. Plus I'd rather have the gold rush. So it worked out well for me.

Called up WOW CS yesterday and they seem kind of clueless to be honest. Asked them to change my order size to a .5 down and they said they would submit it to the warehouse. I going to assume that the original size I ordered is going to show up, which will be ok I guess. but definitely think .5 down would fit better in the 2.5s

dang, that's what i was worried about.... shoot, i'd go with the gold rush 2.5s too since they got that speckled midsole instead but i'm just not a gold sneaker type of guy, plus at $250 it's rather steep.  

Quick question if you don't mind, is there anything awkward about the regular WOW 2 tongue? If i got a pair i'd rock em casually, it just seems since the tongue is so stiff that it's super flat, and not rounded.  Does the tongue eventually loosen?

To me yea, the 2 tongue does rub the shin. I usually wear quarter socks, but with the 2's I end up wearing high, goofy socks to protect the shin a little. Its a big reason I like the 1/1.5 better
 
Thanks for the info appreciate it man! Was thinking about the warrior 2s cuz I absolutely love the tumbled leather on those.. Wish they had 2.5 w/ a predominantly black tumbled leather upper with no dazzle camo midsole lol.. Probably getting a bit picky now oh well..

The tongue when you first get it is super stiff and I wasn't even sure it wasn't enforced with a shank plate. IMO it was that stiff but in time it loosens up very nicely and is worth the break-in time, it's just a stiff piece of leather

I went with the 305 since I had the announcements but that tumbled leather is just money. I want the Warriors and might end up grabbing a pair eventually

it's gotta be the signature piece in the middle of the tongue that makes it so stiff... i think the 2.5 is cleaner than the 2, if they could only make a 2.5 in the warrior colorway i'd be set lol

Not sure if I can agree with the "cleaner" statement but they are nice. The 2s are just nice smooth silhouette. Like I know most let them sit but I swear the overtown 2s are one of my faves. So clean, just enough red and just looks great on foot. I would take the Overtown 2 over the 2.5 any day. As well its that all leather.

I have both 2's and 1.5's and don't have a problem with the tongues on either ones. The 1.5's have larger stiffer tongues and my Warrior 2.0s tongue I find smaller and more flexible. I actually pull up and try to flatten it to make it seem bigger. Its just my personal preference ( I also wear mine to play in so I wear higher Nike Elite Socks)

On another thought…….

I love the WOW brand and shoes but Im also really into collecting custom Nike Elite socks. I know Wade has his own dress sock line, why doesn't he make his own custom sock line strictly to be played in like Nike Elite socks?

here are my custom Nike Elite Socks I really think Wade could do just as if not better when it comes to designs
