man didn't realize so many of you didn't like the YOHs, i've always been a fan of the look, just concerned over the durability =/
 
Not a huge deal, but can we get someone to edit the thread name? Wade has definitely moved to Li-Ning and we're liking what we're getting.

Your right everyone hated the move and the shoes! Even @Dc30  thought they were ugly. We've come so far. Everyone was saying that they looked cheap and ugly but once WOW actually started releasing color waves every one dramatically changed their minds.

at least look way better than what jb made for him, those were pure trash off court

Let me expand on my original statement...lol. I have been a big Wade fan for a long time. From his Converse, to the AJ 2010, and even his Fly Wade line...although I didn't have any Fly Wade 1's, I really liked the 2's as a summer shoe, have like 8 pairs in total of those.

But being tired of Nike/JB nonsense for quite some time I was actually really excited that Wade left JB and was hoping for something AMAZING from him and Li-Ning to really make a statement. That first all patent leather W0W1 I commented on was very lackluster to me. I was probably too harsh but again like I said I was hoping for something to really blow my hair back. The WoW1...for ME...still is not a great silhouette. Not ugly, but not tremendous either. I only the the TNS and the 305 in the 1's just on pure clean looks. The WoW2 for me was a great step in the right direction.

I love that Wade jumped ship from JB, so I was on board with him leaving, and I tried like hell to get info on the 1's but it was not easy until much later in the release cycle. The 2's pulled me in on the shoes themselves though, not just his business decision to leave. The strength of the line in it's entirety is most definitely is QUALITY and CRAFTSMANSHIP, but those things can't be discerned from pics unfortunately. But yes the love for the line has definitely changed from the beginning of this thread, but as more people have gotten pairs in hand and really seen what the line is capable of, the turn has followed in kind.

The only drawback here and still remains is Li-Nings total LACK of promotion and advertising on his shoes. The availability is no walk in the park either. All of us in this thread know where to go, but it's not like it's been easy finding some of these places. On top of that WayofWade.com only recently just changed the look of the main page to actually link to the webstore. But all this time before hand you could go to WoW.com and you got a few pics and ZERO links.

Again I love this brand but somebody is making strange decisions on how product is advertised and sold to the US market. And I think most of you guys can agree on that lol. The only way this line will grow as it should is if they want to push the line to grow. Very passive at this point.

@Dc30  yea I play ball in one of my WOWs every day and more and more it seems people come up to me and say "are those the wades?" and "where can I get them?" I know Li-Ning doesn't really do a good job of marketing the brand in the US but I believe thats because it's not their primary goal. First they want to establish the WOW brand in China. And even though you can't go down to foot locker and pick up a pair it's not like it's hard to find them. If you google anything from Wade new shoe to Way of wade links for almost all the websites that sell WOWs come up on the first page. I think a lot of people are afraid of (if I may quote D-Wade himself) "Making their own way" and leaving JB and Nike for a brand they don't know nearly know as much about. One of the best things about the WOW shoes are their high quality and since they arent in any American stores new buyers to the brand can't walk in and see the quality before they buy the shoe. It takes a lot of faith to spend 150 on a shoe you've never seen in person from a brand most Americans aren't used to. Nevermind the fact that the shoes have a very unique designs and some people might be afraid of what other peoples reactions will be to the WOWs they wear. It also doesn't help that the lines starting to take off as D-Wade (is sadly) in decline. It's a lot easer to sell a shoe and brand when a super star is at the hight of his power. All in all I think multiple things contribute to the brands lack of notoriety in the US. Forigen brand, aging super star, very unique shoe designs, and as @Dc30  said a poor website set up. That being said I still love both D-wade (my favorite athlete of all time) and his shoe line, it would take a major mess up to turn me away from the brand now. #HeatNation4Life

got my Way of Wade 3 Announcements in today from fed ex (odd since its sunday and i chose standard delivery).  The seemed to really make these a half size smaller now, They fit more like a size 11 in the WOW 1's.  I truly do like the colorway its almost a mixture of all the previouse announcement colorways
