Li-Ning Thread

best bang for your buck will be the YOS (3rd row from the top). it's a limited edition $250 retail kick, with an all reflective upper and special box.  Can't beat that.
Sorry forgot to add YOS is not included on the 125$ sale of WOW 3

YOS is 200$ on sale

Thanks bro what is the next pair for you aside from the YOS?

Bro it's whatever you'll rock most. 305 is great as are Daz Fuego. Leather vs ballistic nylon.
Thanks and Repped - The only thing that scare my away from Daz is the White OutSole

will pick up a WOW 3 and post it here later

DWADE Family
may I ask your advice on getting my first pair of WADE
Below are on Sale here in Dubai UAE for only 125$

What do you think will be the best bank for the buck colorway of WOW 3

WOW 3 - 125 $

YOS - 200 $
I have all those, and they are all well made/executed. Out of those though, I would likely go with the 305 Drips (I think one of the best WoW 3) or the Grey Boys.

The Lite version weren't much cheaper from the WOW 3.

I'll put this out there since the thread is moving slow and I like well crafted debates as much as anyone...and I'm pretty sure I know how a few of you guys are going to respond so here it goes...

Without putting anyone out there, I saw a WoW4 post on IG with some of the usual captions...I NEED THESE...now they were the above pictured pair. Another so so synthetic/mesh shoe. Looks ok, but IMO NOT up to par with what the WoW brand has established with it's releases up until this point.

So I commented saying something like "why are they completely abandoning what set them apart in the first place?" Which in a nutshell is raw materials and craftsmanship.

The response was evolution and progression... :x

Do any of you guys feel the same way? That this is a natural evolution...let along a progression...

I don't want to see them abandon what makes them unique and great just because...One of the few in the game who really are heads above the norm in terms of quality and materials. I get that the synthetic pairs will most likely be better built than your standard Nike, but still...I'm still hopeful but ya know... :smh:

RAW MATERIALS AND CRAFTSMANSHIP @Dc30

^^^ One of the reasons I have continued to buy WOW's since the 1's released.

I will still add 4's to the collection. Gotta keep picking up certain colorways(Announcement, Overtown, etc...) It will be good to try out mesh with these, something different from past releases, but I am always hoping for pairs with smooth/tumbled leather.

Evolution and Progression, more like Devolution and Regression. They just commuted a marketing suicide, most of us, if not all of us, were buying them exactly for the good quality leathers and the great craftsmanship, not for any other reason, if they bring all plastic and mesh with the next generations, I am out. If I want plastic galore, there are plenty of kicks with a Swoosh on them.

But your reasoning above is exactly why there are going to mesh and synthetics because you are still going to buy. Thats all they care about. Use cheaper materials, keep the price margin where it was and see who still buys.

So you are actually falling into their gap. I am done with the brand and its sad. Really had a true love of how they were doing business.

Without seeing all the releases planned this year I think it's a little early to say "I'm done with the brand". After giving us pairs like the white StingWade 3 I can't see ZERO leather this year, so I'm waiting for more official info. I'm hopeful. But...doesn't mean I can't be wrong.

I only got one 3 - vet day 2 -  after having many, many 1-2.5s, and they're nice even for a mesh shoe. This issue is they weren't not nice enough for me to buy over a bron 12 on sale for 135 or a kd 7 for 115 on or near release day. The 2/2.5 killed the brand because they went into deeeeeeeeep discount. You cannot go that deep into the red and continue to use high quality materials. A balance needs to happen, especially when you're a smaller company. Their financial balance was to use cheaper, albeit, lighter materials. They also had to keep the focus of the shoe too, it's a basketball shoe, it needs to perform too, so lighter is better. In the sense that its a basketball shoe the 3 started an improvement.

I've said it before that bron leaving and the heat falling from a title contender to a 5-8 seed hurts a lot. People saw the shoes in the playoffs. Bron just being there helped bring attention to dwade even if bron was in nikes. People see gold shoes and want to know wtf they are and how can they get them. The same thing happened with the Curry 1. If they are a 5 seed and get bounced in the 1st round those wouldn't be selling out weekly. Shoe kids are fickle and it's cost this brand. Because they couldnt capitalize on the huge success of the 1. With how ugly the curry 2 looks in pics I'm hoping UA doesn't do the same

This...and look at Kyrie...Bron is his teammate and suddenly Kyrie has his own sig AND it's doing well...

I might be reaching here.. but I think Li-Ning is trying to make a more on court friendly sneaker for Dwade, since the 3 was a complete debacle on court. I'm hoping the mesh versions are the GR (hoop friendly) versions, and that there will be "lifestyle" SE versions with the premium raw materials we all love.  *fingers crossed*
