In the past few years I've went from a 34 to 38 waist (I'm not fat AT ALL), started dieting the right way a few weeks ago.  Lost two sizes and 15 pounds already. My goal is 50 more pounds, I'm very muscular.

Foods that work for me: Oats and Chocolate Fiber One Chewy Bars

Kept me regular, which is important in weight loss.

I never like using the word diet because it sounds like something that's temporary and not long term. I'd rather call it healthy eating habits or a healthy eating lifestyle. I've put ons on some weight as well and need to get back to how I used to eat. I used to be obsessive. No white carbs at all. I ate a ton of chicken, baked fish and vegetables. I drank lots of water. Barely drank juice and the only soda I drank was Coke Zero.

I just cut back on my calorie intake and portion size. It's pretty easy (along w. staying consistent w/ working out).

This is what I've done the past 2 months and I lost all of the weight I put on since I took an office job. I'm looking into a gym membership in the next month.

Make sure the flax seed is crushed. Your body doesn't process whole flax seeds as well.

green tea is awesome for living better.

First day of rawism down.. It's only temp, but I want to see how my system overall reacts. About to stack up on vitamins and herbs tomorrow.

I can definitely see an inrease in my wine intake.

Man i just bought a scale the other day and when i stepped on it i was in total shock :smh:. Gained about 20 pounds since early May. So i started Intermittent fasting and eating healthier on tuesday and the fat is just melting off my body. Tryna lose 50 pounds by my 21st birthday next year.

IIFYM.

oats are good though, I shred them up and drink it with water, good for your heart too.

Copped some Almond Milk, start replacing Vitamin D Milk with it there's a significant difference in my energy levels. Not as sluggish after eating cereal.

This, except I wasn't consistent with working out. Just cardio whenever I felt like it.

I also switched between IF and regular eating habits just to keep things interesting.

In the end of last semester I noticed I weighed a little more than I wanted to, so for the first time in my life I decided to eat clean and watch my calories. I basically just stuck to these foods and lost 8 lbs (which was my target to lose) in a little over a month.

Straight up

Breakfast:
Greek yogurt and a protein shake

Lunch:
Chicken breast or fish or lean ground beef and broccoli and a little brown rice and an avocado

Dinner:
Chicken breast and broccoli, red pepper, blueberries

Snacks:
Nuts/protein shake/apple/red pepper and hummus

There are a lot of other great foods for dieting out there, these are just the ones that worked well for me.

No "diet food" is going to work bro.

Eat at a deficit, find out your macros (http://www.physiquefx.com/bmr-calculators/ download a calculator from there depending on what your goals are) and eat your foods.

So far i'm down to 208 from 288 since I started taking myself seriously and wanting to turn my life around, tired of being fatboy. Work out hard, lift heavy, eat at a deficit and you'll see results. Not that diety results fast BS but long-term results. Depending on how heavy you are don't expect to see the scale rocket down as well.

I'm finishing up my 12th week doing Leangains and so far i'm down 20lb on this ideology. It frees up SO much time, not having to worry about that dumb *** school of thought of having to eat every two-three hours, or "having to fight off cravings", i'm now free from those things and TBH I couldn't be more happier. I eat within my own 4-6 hour window on a daily basis, get in all of my macros, allowing my body to digest and fast the other 18-20 hours i'm not taking in a single calorie.

There's tons of different things people do, I recommend you look into Ketosis, Paleo, Intermittent Fasting, and If It Fits Your Macros (IIFYM), and see which one fits into your life best and doing it almost religiously.

Also, if you're a slacker I recommend you get a calorie counting app like MyFitnessPal, there's a TON of items on there, odds are if you're eating it there's an entry to choose, and edit the portions as you're intaking them. Don't cheat the app because you're only cheating yourself in the long run.

That's about it in a nutshell but if you're serious about it and not looking for a quick fix, call it something other than a diet. Like someone mentioned earlier, that word carries so many weak connotations IMO , make it a conscious lifestyle change, not just ___ diet.

Take a peek into the In Shape thread on here, it's a great way to stay motivated IMHO

Good luck brothers :smokin
