haven't tried the 2012 but my buddy uses the fly though insert. he said the inserts are a little bit wider than the kobe insert but it'll fit and work. he likes it because the fly though is zoom in the forefoot and air max in the heel. hopefully you can find one at a nike outlet. nike has a 30-day no question asked return policy so you can try it out for 30 days and if you don't like it, return it.
it really depends on what you prefer and how you play. i'm thinking about picking up a 2012 A to give it a shot since my favorite cushion setup was the KDV's and I want something similar.
I never had a problem with zoom heels but after playing the KDV's, i miss that extra cushion especially after hard landings when i use the superheros.
i played in the black elites for a while before switching to the superheros. i didn't like the kobe 8 nike + inserts. the cushlon bottomed out and it felt like i was playing in jordan 1s. you also can feel the nike + plastic in the middle of your foot when you land and stuff. I had to double layer my socks to give my feet extra padding. people say you can't feel the zoom in the superheros because it's bottom loaded but I felt the difference when I made the switch. it was a lot better than the black/golds.

Just got my tracking info and its coming from franklin, michigan whereever that is. But like I said a few posts up, I had to call a certain number they gave me for in store orders from the restock and ask if mine will get cancelled and tracking info and all the basic info. Footlocker didn't email me an order confirmation or shipping confirmation and tracking number. It's already shipped out of michigan after 3 different stops and still no email. But don't matter now as long as I got the tracking.blue lights... michigan?....where????

Are All kobe 8s 50% off at the nike employee store? Cause i heard certain colorways of shoes aren't discounted.

honestly, I have never been in one but I have never heard that they don't have items discounted either. best way to know is to go find out like you will today

Everything is discounted.. IDK who told u otherwise but they're wrong. Also the ES wont give you any information over the phone. They used to have a receptionist who would answer the phone and redirect your call based on your request. Now they have an automated system that does it. The only way I can imagine someone telling you anything over the phone is if you are the immediate family of a blakc badge employee.

Also @hypebeast5 The ES doesn't use passes anymore. They haven't since the concord release (2011). I know a lot of ppl at nike and they said that nike has started crakcing down on those passes. Not tryna rain on your parade but I doubt they will let u in. U gotta be on the list to use the pass and the pass is only for immediate family.
