Won the lottery for the Kobe Xmas at my local HOH. When I got up to the register they had just sold out of the sz 13's which is my size. HOH does not guarantee a size, just a shoe.
Debated about grabbing another size - only size 11 and smaller left at this point. Decided to do the right thing and pass and leave these for the people who actually wear these sizes.
My belief is that if more people did this it would free up the sizes for the people who really want them and wear them.

I agree with this performance wise. Looks wise though, the color ways of the Lebron X have honestly made me end up liking the shoe more than I thought I would originally

I dunno about that. I own all 3 and have hooped in all of them, the KDVs are nice but the front of the toebox area is way too thin. It goes from nice zoom to nothing all of a sudden, took me a while to get used to. The LBXs are amazing. Of course, trying to compare them to the VIIIs is not fair, as they are completely different types of basketball shoes. The cushioning of the zoom max bag is amazing, and the overall security of the shoe is great. The Kobe's are everything I look for, though. Light, responsive, comfortable from the start, get better with time, doesn't show much wear. The upper from the sulfur is probably dirty if I look really close at it, but you can't tell at all that I've hooped in these. Amazing.
EDIT: I didn't take into fact that you may be going solely on aesthetics, if so my apologies for the long rant above haha I was going by performance.

I think this is my fear with IDing the white base ones. I'm afraid of it getting dirty and being harder to clean because of the mesh.

^ Yeah that's going to be a pain I'm sure. I think it's a safe bet for the money you spend to get a dark upper so it doesn't end up looking really worn in a short period of time, but if you don't care about that and are using them to hoop anyways, fire away.
