Official Reebok Kamikaze II Thread AKA "Reignmans"

Both look like an instantly forgettable and a terrible attempt from Reebok to stay live in the modern era, but they are missing the point as always. The battle was lost a long time a go, should just focus on the hundreds of amazing retro models that they can put out. Both Q14 and K4 will go on sale for way under $50.

Nice points but....most of the retros go on discount too LOL. You can't succeed if you never try and just give up. It's not like these releases will hurt them anyway. A vast majority of Reebok's retros only appeal to those 27+, because they were around when Reebok's relevance was high. If it's not Jordan's, no one is paying attention. Those shoes have become GENERIC. The norm. Quite boring world

Amen on this - the Question 14 oddly enough looks like an Answer II-III type shoe! The Kamikaze IV looks better than the 'Reethym of Light' KIII that dropped before it but it's far too generic. Reminds me of a Jumpman shoe that dropped last year or the year before that.

They have tried too many times, unsuccessfully. The only pairs that get some love, still, are the retros. No matter how many times they try, they will fail for the same reasons you mentioned.
 
They can't give up though. Reebok isn't just for the Classics. They have to push forward and come up with new tec. This retro wave won't last forever. The retros aren't even loved that much to begin with. Most of the loyal supporters don't even buy them at MSRP but at discounts. That's the OG cways. How is this really helping them make a resurgence? *Kanye Shrugs*

My god why on earth would reebok call that the answer 14 and have the ******* question logo on them??? Are they that ******* lazy???

And the k4 looks so ******* generic

Could they not have a great pattern on the upper like previous versions???

I know adidas owns reebok now but did they really have to slap a feet you wear midsole on both these??? Turrrrrible

I look it this was, I buy retros, I would buy any OG retro model, no questions asked, I would never buy the new ones. So if I am one of their customers and presumably if all of their customers are 27+ plus like me and like you are saying, those new models have no chance from the get go.

Have to agree with you on this trent. Reebok's late to the retro game by a decade at the minimum and their fanbase is in their late 20s with the majority being 30+. 10 years ago I would've purchased at least one or two retro+ colourways on top of purchasing all OG colours but now I have a hard time justifying purchasing more than 1 pair of the same shoe. Mortgage, car note and other living expenses on top of a lack of space (if you live in an apartment/condo) will do this to you.

On top of this almost all of the retro+ colourways aren't 'neutral' colored or wearable daily so they aren't even worth thinking about - even at $50.

I just hope that we can get the Preacher, Aftershok & Avante Guard on top of some of their never retro-ed before 90s gems before they re-evaluate their retro program.
 
Man if I start listing all the models I want here it will take me a day, I think Reebok should just hire me instead of all the clowns they have there and you can count on a proper retros from me ;-)
 
Unless Reebok already produced some for a future drop I guess we will never see them release now that Isaiah is a Phoenix Sun.

I have to agree with the lack of creativity on these. Not so much with the upper but with the sole. They don't want to use the OG DMX or Hexalite anymore for some strange reason. Can't use the cost excuse, since they are using DMX for a few of their running/cross fit shoes. How much work would it take to use and improve on the old tech? Seems like theres no innovators in their Basketball department.
