Official Reebok Kamikaze II Thread AKA "Reignmans"

They need to just stop with the Kamikaze II and focus on another Kemp sig. If they want to keep the KII going just drop TB (Team Bank) colours every quarter. I barely see anyone rocking Reebok 'Classics' so who exactly is buying/wearing these clown colored KIIs?

I am still waiting on them to snap out of it and start marketing right and bring out the countless other amazing models that they had back in those days. I am getting so sad seeing what is happening now, looks like they scrapped the OG Black/White Rail, due to bad sales and I don't see any news on the Swingman, which was announced an year a go, maybe they killed that retro too, but realistically with the return of Charlotte Hornets and with the right marketing the Swingman could have been a success.

But who am I to tell them that...

All I really want that's left is another run of the white/azure Attaq 1, a coupla good colors of Answer II & III (Maybe V, too), the white/black Prophet, the white/blue Lightning DMX 6, a coupla good colors of the Triple Duece, and a coupla good colors of a coupla models of the super bulky, overly hexalited models like maybe the Preacher, Dunkmob, or After Shok. Is that too much to ask Reebok?

I doubt they are samples of those.

But they do look similar in some ways of one of the iverson pumps that were released later in his answer line

Agreed with both of you guys, it feels like Reebok is setting up the Classics line to fail - with limited marketing and an odd selection of releases. I liked the Rail and I purchased the Bucks colourway but you'd have to be a Reebok die hard or a 'Big Dog' fan to actually get a pair as there's 0 appeal for the shoe to the casual customer. Props to them for taking a chance and dropping the sneaker but the reality is that they have to focus on their more relevant athletes. Shaq, Kemp, Iverson, etc.. have a deep catalog so instead of releasing an endless stream of KIIs and Questions in all sorts of garbage colourways drop some of the mid-late 90s sneakers.

And what's with the 'Fusion/Hybrid' garbage when the OG silhoutte is barely moving units? :smh:

Such good points all around. Here in Australia the marketing is horrible, and many of the products are only carried by boutique stores. So those who know get to see them and purchase them, but those who don't are just never aware.

I'm a HS teacher & basketball coach, and I often wear my classics to training. The students (who like shoes at least) always ask me what they are (so there's interest) - because there's simply no marketing here. They love the Rails (blk/wht/red) and the K2s (Letter of Intents) that I wear, and a few are pretty curious about Blacktops. But they go to their local Footlocker or chain store, and don't see them (or only see a limited selection). It makes the entire brand kind of niche.

Then again, as a guy who buys them, I like the lack of hype in some ways as it lets me get the product easily! But at the same time, if the limited units that stores have don't move, the likelihood of them continuing to carry them probably falls. The eternal catch 22 situation.

Notice how the synthetic leather has crumbled and piled, one of the worst things that can happen to a shoe, hate that.
