yeah im not much of a sports in the afternoon kind of guy , prefer the primetime games on a saturday at a bar or at a friends house for steaks + beer ....more lively..............also im in miami so nobody getting up before noon on a saturday

Early afternoon is for crappy ACC/Big Ten games that nobody cares about. Those are usually either on my own couch as I slowly wake up from the previous night/work week or at a friend's place if it's a VT game. The afternoon is when some decent BIG/Big XII/SEC games come on, and then the night time is for the primetime SEC games and PAC 12 games. I don't want them to move my good SEC games to earlier slots in case I need to do something else that day or need to go out to dinner or something  I need that late afternoon/early evening buffer that gives me that option of either being a semi productive individual that day or simply cheering for Ohio St. to lose to Purdue again

Here is a great article about just how bad Ferentz Contract is...

If they fire him, Iowa owes Ferentz 250000/month until 2020.

So, if they fire him in January 2014--- he is owed 250K for 73 months.

Or, 18,250,000.

http://bleacherreport.com/articles/1...llege-football

Here is a key part of it..

That contract came after the 2009 season drew to a close, one that saw Iowa return to glory and win the Orange Bowl against Georgia Tech. So Ferentz is in Year 3 of his contract, and he's got a 17-13 record to show for it—and a Big Ten schedule awaiting him. And let's be honest: A 2-6 Big Ten record is totally in play with a team this bad, and that would push his post-contract record to an even 19-19.
It should probably go without saying, but $3.875 million a year has got to buy more than a .500 record.
The real killer for Iowa, however, is the buyout, which is set at 75% of his remaining salary, paid monthly. So if Iowa wants to go another route for its head coach, that's fine. It'll just owe Ferentz about a quarter-million dollars a month.
Every month.
Until January of 2020.

jacked post from sbr forums.....I think iowa will improve this year but if they didn't I thought he would be on the hot seat.....seeing how his contract is he def won't

   ^^^ better delete that video. ElderWatsonDiggs, Nowitness41Dirk, Mister Friendly, or tmay407 is going to come in here and throw a hissy fit.

I hate urban myer with all of my freaking heart. When dude left Florida he said he left to spend time with his family next week dudes working on espn. He just left cause he couldn't win without tebow
he left because he created the college football version of the Jail-Blazers

He'll be there

If they didn't really discipline him for shoving a coach then they aren't going to get rid of him unless he got arrested again

They'll probably let him shove a coach down a flight of stairs before they do anything about it. He sounds like a head case, still that dude though. :pimp:

I went back and watched the A&M-Bama game from last year, still hard to believe how he sliced up that Bama D with his scrambling. I'm curious to see what they'll do to try to contain him, especially with them putting the A&M logos all over the place as motivation

They better be careful though putting all their focus on that A&M game. They might forget to show up for the first game against VT and only win by 3 TD's

 Hey it was funny.

Love what hes doing for my school on the field but hes been looking really dumb lately. Red flags everywhere

 Yeah that vid was actually hilarious. I mean he has really hit the bigtime when they make an Asian spoof vid on him. I think the last time an athlete had one was the Tiger Woods one.
This year for us is either going to be feast or famine...absolutely nothing in between.

BTW Manziel is supposed to be live on Sportscenter 09:20 AM Eastern time.

it certainly didn't help Bama that they were coming off that game vs LSU & all season their pass rush was down (For Bama standards )

For what it's worth Dre, we also played pretty good defense capped off with the interception that sealed the game. Yeah Bama started carving us up a little more in the second half but we bent but didn't break.

This hype is unreal, probably like nothing ever seen before in college sports and like someone said in here earlier social media has something to do with it.

Crazy Manziel fact, he is actually of Lebanese descent...He wouldn't be the first short Heisman QB to make it to the NFL, the other is Doug Flutie. Jeff George also has Lebanese bloodlines. Interesting.

It's a wonder that Bama was even in that game & the end. That had all the makings of blowout city

I shall listen to that game today at work lol

 @Him dodging the drinking questions...of course he's only 20. He better watch out and not get popped for underaged drinking.

I don't think we understand what type of season Gus Edwards can have for Miami. I am going to go out on a limb and say this. If Todd Gurley, who is in the SEC, can put together the type of season he had as a freshman, then there is absolutely no reason why Gus Edwards can't have that type of season in a considerably weaker ACC. Both have just about the same measurables along with the same speed and vision. I think this kid is going to have at least an 800-900 yard season with around 11 TD's running behind an excellent offensive line. As I watch his film, he looks like an SEC caliber RB which will bode well against not so great ACC defenses. I expect by seasons end, he will be up for ACC offensive rookie of the year honors.
