"Many skeptics are on record questioning whether or not Chip Kelly's spread system can make the transition to the NFL; part of this is is due to the uninformed opinion that the QB is a designed runner in the system.  My study tells me this simply isn't the case.      So while Vick's ability to run is certainly an asset,  I don't really see the zone read being the core of the offense, as the ******** have done with RG III.  The read game will be present, but not to the extent some would think.

In terms of delivery and coaching of an offense, I think the Eagles will be ahead of the curve.  I think that quality reps are the key to execution, and they will be practicing faster than any team in the NFL.

My one reservation in watching Oregon's offense is the depth in the pocket by the passer.   Oregon's QBs didn't really take a true drop, instead catching the snap and simply "hitching up" from that depth, and were at the pretty much the same spot, no matter what the pass.  In the NFL, offenses need to attack at different depths, and the apex of the drop needs to match the route.  In other words, a passer needs to be ready to throw just before that pattern comes open, rather than just holding the ball staring into that space.  Drops need to be timed with the depths of routes.   I think that this sort of refinement is a major area that Pat Shurmur will bring to the offense.

I am also interested in seeing what adjustments  will be brought about in terms of communicating the play from the sideline to the field.  Clearly, Coach Kelly is an innovator in this arena.  I am curious as to how that is adjusted as players are released or traded, and end up on opposing teams.   Every player that leaves Philadelphia will be an intelligence source for the opposition - something he did not have to deal with at Oregon.

I'm sure these questions have already been answered internally.  The true hallmark of the offense is how it makes fast players seem even faster with the use of tempo and formationing.  Given the versatility of the Eagles' receivers, running back, and tight end as threats in the run and pass game,  I think they will give NFL defenses unique problems this year.   I don't see the system as a gimmick in the NFL; rather, I see it beginning a trend that others will follow.  They already have in New England."

No louisville will struggle in the ACC too when Teddy leaves.  That defense will be good, but they're not gonna win eight to eleven close low scoring games.

Interesting, Vols staff turned Nigel Bethel away when he tried to commit to Butch Jones.

Dont worry about Chollie, Alin Eduoard will probably follow Teddy Ballgame's lead and decommit from Miami and head up to Louisville. I know the Vols asked him to come up to camp to get an eye on him running offense and throwing in person on Saturday. They wsnt to land one mobile QB( either he or McClendon). He is looking to bounce on The canes after all the QB commits they have taken.

I'm a long time lurker too. I usually come in in here hyped up to report some Florida related news from other boards I visit but dre always beats me to the punch anyway so **** it

VH3 will be the real deal. I'm not worried about our defense AT ALL. Dunbar is supposed to be much improved and is clicking real well with Driskel. Marqui Hawkins should surprise some people. Overall we should be passing a lot more this season. Our offense should be much improved. I honestly don't see anybody getting in our way for SEC east besides Georgia. That's the only game that has me sweating really.

F*ck Non Believers

Gators Baby :pimp:

Damn,. I knew I didn't say he wasn't good at all. He probably is a top 10 player though, but the QB comments hold true.

I think Jordan Hicks got cleared of that rape stuff from the bowl game. He wasn't even playing at the time due to either.

Repped Nako.

UM gonna snag Anthony Moten too? Know Miami really wanted him prior to his commitment (and now decommitment) to Florida

luckily Coach Smith isn't @ STA anymore or else this decommitment woulda never happened

That's what I'm hoping for. We need all the DT's we can take.

RT @anthony_moten95: Not trying to go to college and get loss in the system

Justice system? :nerd:

Can't blame a kid for not wanting to go to a school that sends more players to jail than to the NFL.

Moten wants PT handed to him.

Gators will be fine without him.

Dont see UGA getting 40 pts vs UF. Murray usually struggles vs Gators i can see it being a 28-24 game either way. Cant let Gurley run wild for 200+.

UGA vs USCe should be good early season battle. Excited to see that.

Canes vs Gators too, interested to see how our secondary does vs Stephen Morris, he has improved each year.

The amount of kids joining us lately has me feeling that our swiss bank accounts are in good standing again. :pimp:

Then again, last class we had this hyped was Jacory's, so.....

So, they say we're chasing a slot kid Berrios, along with Moten, then leaving spots open for Lane and Lammons to sign on too.

Feasible?????

Johnny Dixon + Berrios

& where is this thought of Moten wanting PT handed to him coming from. I've seen it floated around

Kid never even visited Florida, Right?
