2013 College Football Thread (Realer than Real Deal Holyfield -->S/O Craftsy)

That Cal/NW game was a lot closer than the final score indicated.

And neither of Goff's pick 6's were his fault.

They kicked out #40, Cal's best pass rusher for "targeting" which was BS. Suspended for the 1st 1/2 against the Buckeyes as well.

All things considered, Goff was impressive for a true frosh.

What's the word on Bigelow? Was he concussed?

Georgia/Clemson lived up to the hype as I expected.

What a stupid rule

And he's suspended for 1st half of Portland st game next week

I missed them talking about but he reason why he wears a glove in his throwing hand... Is it because he has small hands so they help with gripping?

Would I be false in saying that Virginia Tech is no longer a big time football program?
its time for frank to pass the sticks and hang it up. should just hire mike London from UVA if they don't believe  in bud foster

The atmosphere at the Cal Northwestern game was crazy! Cal student section was pumped. Glad my Wildcats got the W. Goff looked really good. Threw freaking 63 passes lol. Worried about my boy Colter though.lHe runs the O much better than Sim. I think the Cal vs tOSU game should be good.

That back shoulder TD throw Bridgewater had :wow:

Didn't see much of the A&M game, but what did Manziel do to Sumlin? Mark May made mention of it and I didn't know what he was talking about.

The media propped up a guy like Tebow, and it seems like they are doing the exact opposite to Manziel.

He got an unsportsmanlike penalty and when Sumlin was talking to him, he ignored him and walked right by him.

Ahh thanks....

May also said that either Manziel or Sumlin won't be back next year...possibly both.

Not sure if he's going off an assumption or if he has inside info....but his take on Sumlin was interesting.

Mark May is a dumbass. I wouldn't put too much stock in anything he says. If Sumlin leaves it's going to be because of Eric Hyman (the AD) constantly telling Sumlin how to run the team and requiring suspensions and discipline that Sumlin doesn't agree with (see the suspensions on defense yesterday).

I think it was Robert Flores who had a good counter-point to May's constant Manziel bashing....May kept saying he (Manziel) needs to act like a professional. Flores said, he's not a pro...he's a college athlete.

The vitriol towards Manziel is ridiculous. I really hope he has another great year and in the process, sticks his middle-finger up at all the nay-sayers etc.

*Dyer :pimp:

So much talent.

I literally hate Mark May.

I also hate everyone bashing Clowney and his conditioning. Matt Millen/Palmer/Pollock/ESPN saying he looked out of shape and killed him...they dont realize hes being double teamed all night...in 105 degree/humid weather....while sick and he made Renner hurry throws atleast 4-5 times althought they said only 3.

They Dont even know what they're talking about.

Also, i respect UGA for going on the road to Clemson first game. Not many teams would do that as most would make it a neutral site game.

Manziel too. Like flores said, hes a ******g kid. I honestly feel dudes like Palmer and pollock are jelly they aren't stars anymore.

Bridgewater is a monster. Woah.

Between Him, Manziel, D. Thomas, Seastruck (sp?), Gurley, Duke, boyd, ...man the heisman is wide open.

I don't think the vitriol is ridiculous. The dude is doing too much. Fall back and stop making things about you. The coverage and sensastionalism around him is ridiculous.

Regarding my team, Drew Allen has the support of the coaching staff going forward. No criticism of the OLine from the local media but pinned a reason for the offense struggling on the running backs. Dont get that.

He doesn't do himself a lot of favors, but what I bolded is probably the best way to put it.
