You knew this would happen  don't front like Georgia is like able...doesn't matter we get our full Defense back this week..we take care of business the rest of the way and it's go time

Loooong weekend but I figured I'd check in.

1. Either our defense is back to top 5 status or Bama has no shot at repeating unless their OL improves drastically. Our DT's (even the true frosh backup, Nigel Williams) were abusing their guards at times. JR Collins was WORKING Cyrus Kuaufnxidosjo. We had 12 TFL and 4 sacks. Bama had 38 carries for 96 yards. If we can play that well against the rest of the schedule we'll be in good shape.
2. I know Bama was probably keeping it close to the vest due to their lead, but our secondary was lights out. I was worried Cooper would eat us alive and Fuller made him look average. I knew Fuller was playing injured last year but even at 100% he's never been a great cover corner. He looked great. His little brother and Facyson(other true freshman) were studs too.
3. Our OL was much improved, giving up only one sack and having a tailback put up 132 yds against Bama was certainly beyond my expectations. Especially with a true freshman LT. Coaching makes a world of difference.
4. I know I'll get crucified for this since he went 5-26 or w/e it was, but Logan didn't play badly at all IMO. That was just about the worst game I've seen from a WR corps ever. LT overthrew the one deep ball and sailed a couple others, but other than that his ball placement and decision making were pretty good. I tried to tell y'all how bad our WR were after his scrimmage stats were posted; hopefully if you watched the game you know what I'm talking about now  there were about 9-10 straight up drops and a few routes cut short/alligator armed (notably on the pick 6.) I've never seen a 3 and out due to back to back to back drops like that. Dudes were playing mad scared.

Clemson looked legit, I'm excited to see Winston play more this year, and other than that I don't know too much about most teams at this point. Not too many telling week 1 matchups.

Mark May Is Now Blatantly Lying To Viewers

ESPN's Mark May Needs To Shut Up About Johnny Manziel

Here's Mark May, responding to the latest bit of news about Johnny Football: Read…
Notre Dame is ending its series of football games against Michigan, and Irish coach Brian Kelly raised controversy over the weekend when he claimed the Wolverines weren't a rival. That led ESPN's college football panel of Joe Tessitore, Mark May, and Lou Holtz to take on the topic during halftime of last night's Florida State-Pitt matchup, where the network's resident blowhard spoke truth to power.
No, wait, he lied. That's the opposite of truth.
May claimed the following:

I can't have much doubt. I think it's a terrific rivalry. And when GameDay comes to town they know it's a big game, everybody knows it's a big game. Growing up in upstate New York, I used to watch it when I was growing up, when it was on television.

Really, Mark? Notre Dame didn't play Michigan while you were growing up. In fact, the first time Notre Dame played Michigan in your lifetime, it was 1978. You were a sophomore offensive lineman for the Pitt Panthers, where presumably you weren't watching because you were on the field playing against Temple. You were playing against Kansas during the Notre Dame-Michigan game the next two years, so we're pretty sure the first time you ever watched Notre Dame play Michigan it was the day before you played in St. Louis against the Cardinals as a member of the Washington ********.
Hey, maybe you still haven't grown up.

VT's DL can cause hell when they do all that looping, stunts, slants etc w/ their DL & LB's. They killed our run game last year w/ that.

W/ an entire offseason to prepare, I'm not surprised about that.

Nick Saban probably still has not stopped yelling @ his OL (and Cristobal)

Danny Kanell  is on ESPN saying Jameis will not only go down as the greatest FSU signal caller of all time, but possibly the greatest QB in college football history.

The breaks, pump them.

Good thing he only has to pump the breaks and not pump BRAKES.

Pollsters are idiots. When Oregon lost to LSU in 2011, they dropped from #3 to #13. Pundits complain that teams don't schedule great OOC games but when they do, they really punish the losing team, which isn't fair.

While i admit it's a little too early to annoint him , last night was spectacular...
I think it's safe to say we finally have a stud at QB again :pimp:

It's confusing because if Georgia had won that game I doubt we would've moved up at all...maybe 1 spot but that's it, but to send us all the way down to 11 ? Like really ?

OK, then.

The kid looked phenomenal, but he was throwing to wide open targets the entire night.

On a related note, FSU's skill player depth is obscene.

5am - what's your take on DJ Coles? Dude is 240 and plays like a ******g lamb. A dude as big as him should be a matchup problem. But he's not.

I was able to go into Cal's stadium yesterday when it was empty, the improvements they made to it are nice. Feel like more could have been done, though.
Still hugging your knees when you sit in the bleachers though

I mean he wasn't pressured the whole entire game. Maybe twice. No doubt he's a beast though.
