2013 College Football Thread (Realer than Real Deal Holyfield -->S/O Craftsy)

I can actually see UGA playing for the Championship the year after he leaves.

C- execution, you're better than that

Danny Kanell is on ESPN saying Jameis will not only go down as the greatest FSU signal caller of all time, but possibly the greatest QB in college football history.

The breaks, pump them.

Danny Kanell has an affinity for trolling and just had his debut performance one-upped.

So yeah.

While i admit it's a little too early to annoint him , last night was spectacular...
I think it's safe to say we finally have a stud at QB again :pimp:
To Dameyune Craig -- Thank you from the bottom of my Garnet and Gold heart

Very impressed with Jameis Winston last night. Now if only Saturday would hurry up for more football!

Was I the only one not totally sold on Winston?

While his numbers looked great, I feel like actually watching him, his motion, throws, decision making...they weren't all that good.

yes I understand it's his first game but he showed a lack of arm strength more times then not, a fluttering ball, throwing into double coverage etc. I just didn't think he was god's gift to college football like other analysts and fans thought.

Perhaps it's just me.

The Longhorn Network is saying that Winston's coaches told Mack Brown's staff that he wasn't really interested in Texas and that they'd lose him to FSU or Alabama.

He threw into double coverage 2 times (only one of which legitmatwly had a chance to get picked) Fluttery balls were times where he got hit and the ball still got there. He has a weird motion/windup from baseball but he still is able to get the ball on his WR's w/ no problem. He was able to bang slants & outs vs tight man coverage. Arm strength is not a problem.

He's not gods gift to football but he definitely had an impressive game. Film doesn't lie:

Winston's told Mack that Jimbo & Craig already dropped the $ bag off & they need not bother :pimp:

Are there any NC teams they should be shining for? (Nothing to do with your team obviously so it's not a shot) I mean, I think Clemson was runner up for both but I don't blame either of them for going to UGA over staying in-state.

If I remember correctly aka IIRC, Gurley wasn't even rated that high at first and the recruiting guy on Clemson's Rivals site was real high on him, thought he was one of the top backs in the country even though he was maybe a 3 star at the time. I guess the coaches at UGA & Clemson saw it differently and really wanted him...I like our backs but he'd be scary in our offense. :frown:

Well Manning didnt win his til his Senior Season against Auburn. Chris lemay gonna get his Tee Martin on next Season:lol:
Hell the eff no, dude is like 4th/5th on the depth chart. Next year is Hutson Mason :smokin

Let's talk more about last Saturday. Were you in the stands? You seemed so excited for the game, I'm a little surprised you haven't watch to discuss it. What happened? :D

How about that Aaron Murray? He really shines in the spotlight! Pulled a Clemson IMO.

^ Same reason you do any shift/motion on O.

Keep the D on their heels and keep from being predictable.

Notice how the whole D responded.

It's just a mini power play (no pun).

Curious to see what the result was.

I scored me a ticket for the A&M Bama game without having to buy a sports pass :smokin

I have 2 more coming to me that I'm going to convert from student pass to guest pass...Non-student guest passes are going for over $700. I bought them for $250 apiece. During game week the prices will go even higher,

Forbes.com listed this game as the most expensive game of the season in all of college football. It's gonna be so hyped in Kyle Field!!!

How does student tickets work at A&M? Raffle or FCFS?
You basically buy a "Sports Pass" when you register for classes (you can get football only, all sports, or all sports except football). Then the week before a game, you take the sports passes and get student tickets. Seniors go pull tickets on Monday, Juniors on Tuesday, etc. You can convert student tickets to "guest" tickets for a relatively small charge (you have to present a student ID with the student ticket when you enter the stadium).

I don't think there have been any cases where the people with sports passes were turned away (Nebraska game a few years ago was close, but they added overflow seating on the track).

Back when the basketball team was actually good there was a lottery system in place for those games. You would get a point for each game you went to, then you would sign up for the lottery a few days before games. More points meant a better chance of getting in to upcoming games.

When you're sacked close to 80 times in your career you would seem to be inconsistent...you ******g bums wouldn't know what to do if a Dline men caved your chest in close to 80 times....if you don't block you're not doing ****...it's that simple

Calm down. It's not that serious.

Apparently Kenny Bell is back with team, I just wonder how are you able to take care of 3 kids/D1 player/college student .. sounds like a lot
