2013 College Football Thread (Realer than Real Deal Holyfield -->S/O Craftsy)

Luck wasn't ever staying in state, as far as I can remember.

But RG3... Safety.
Johnny... Safety.
Winston... No need to call.

They signed Garrett Gilbert.. Transferred.
Connor Wood... Transferred.
David Ash... Starter, but meh.
Case McCoy... Sucks.
Connor Brewer... Transferred.

Wow.

Mack Brown has access to the best athletes/HS football talent in the country but he can't develop any of them.

He is on a very short leash this year and if they have another average season he will be forced to resign.

He looks 35

Dude def has 3 kids and an ex-wife

What is everyone's take on Joe Mixon and Nate Starks, I think OU is going to get one of them. I feel that Mixon will commit.

Biggest thing for me is they keep changing philosophies every offseason on offense...

They went from Vince to Colt seamlessly, without much of a shift offensively. Then they brought in Gilbert and Wood, neither of whom fit that system whatsoever. Then Ash and Case McCoy, who were more in the Colt mold... Then they brought in Swoopes who was tabbed as a VY clone even though he's a miserable QB and wasn't very good or dominant in high school.

I mean, within the last three years, they've talked about wanting to be more of a pound-it-out, SEC style offense when they signed Brown and Gray in back-to-back classes, now they're wanting to be more like Oregon where they're playing at a damn near break neck pace in a spread. It's like all of the sudden they have no idea what they want to be as a program, and it makes no sense to me.

Nevermind the fact that Manny Diaz kinda sucks and Sumlin is now taking a good chunk of the best kids in Texas.

I read a while back that they did have a sitdown with Oliver Luck about recruiting Andrew but both sides decided best on not courting each other because UT was putting all their eggs in the Garrett Gilbert basket. And while that may have been their idea at the time it retrospectively impacted their QB recruiting in a negative way. Gilbert was a flat out miss but every school in the country wanted him.

I really don't know why Connor Wood didnt make it but he looked solid in his season opener for Colorado & I wouldn't be surprised if Brewer had success at Zona in the future.

The fact that you just called Chickillo a playmaker let's me know that you have no idea what you're talking about.

We don't have any playmakers on the DL. And our D isn't average, it's terrible.

And there's no way their DL is dominating our OL. Expect this game to be a shootout. We're going to put up points, only question is how many we allow.

VH3 is getting baptized come
Saturday.

Miami wide outs is nothing special . VH3 is be fine

stacy coley dropped a touchdown and we pumped the breaks in the 4th

FAU is one of the worst programs in the FBS...and Morris still isn't accurate...Great Arm, but son reminds me of a black Kyle Boller

Still  @ Pelini calling a spike on 4th down

Golden always pump the breaks...I mean he did play for paterno so I'm not surprised

And Morris is playing under a new OC
