Can't imagine Texas hiring a DC with zero head coaching experience.. Why would they? It's still an elite job.

And on Sumlin... He'll take an NFL gig eventually, but I just don't know if it happens this soon. Got a good thing going at A&M, he'll get another raise potentially after this season. He can afford to wait and be picky.

Naw I think he's out if a decent NFL gig opens up.

After Johnny leaves there is too much to risk, A&M can go to 8-4 annually real quick.

He's got stud QBs and offensive playmakers flooding the pipeline and they're recruiting as well defensively as they have in over a decade... They're not an annual 8-4 with Kevin Sumlin there, Johnny or no Johnny.

they're killing it recruiting wise. A&M has just as much of a chance to be a perennial double digit win team with BCS appearances if he stays on.

Unless you are Alabama there is no such thing in the SEC.

If dude stays he has a really decent shot of changing the landscape of college football in Texas for a generation or two.

I'm not an Aggie fan but I like him a lot.

Georgia slowly creeping back up the polls...take care of LSU..and Florida..and the SEC title game  glorious part about having a good strength of schedule :pimp:

I just wonder how open a southern community would feel about their black head coach having a white wife. Gainesville area is right there with bama and mississippi
