serious question:

I've heard it said that Max Browne looks (not just physically but play wise) like a young Peyton Manning.  But if he can't see the field against these bums (wittek, kessler, wazzu) then I have to assume all that's been said about him was bs and he sucks.

So, that being said...

If you're a young hot shot West Coast QB... at this point why DON'T you go to USC.  Best case scenario, Kiffin gets his **** together and you're the starter day 1 and have the keys to a ferrari.

Worst case scenario, you're 2nd maybe 3rd string behind a shaky QB that could be losing his starting job any day, on a rebuilding team that will probably be VERY good again by 2015.

And also...

Why wouldn't a high school senior want in on this?

Yet I look at the roster and the recruiting trail and not a damn QB in sight.

With then-head coach Rick Neuheisel was occupying a hot seat and the Bruin offense sputtering behind quarterbacks Kevin Prince and Richard Brehaut, the possibility of burning Brett Hundley's redshirt was regularly addressed.

A year of learning the speed of the college game in practice and strength training in the weight room paid immediate dividends for Hundley, evident in his very first game.

Hundley broke a long, scoring rush in his debut, and it's largely been smooth sailing for the Bruin signal caller since. It's doubtful he'd have had the same introduction taking over a struggling offense midway through a season on the brink.

I read some speculation somewhere that Kiffin played them both to burn their redshirts and make it difficult for them to transfer out once he made a choice.

They both took there RS already so that doesn't make any sense

youve probably got the same sources as that georgia fan.

they both alternated redshirting their first two years, but even if they hadn't they'd have to sit out if they transferred within the FBS.

They're basically the exact same player.  Wittek is a few inches taller, Cody is a teensy bit more mobile.  They both suck.

Center Kody Koebensky, whom you can see in the original photo as one of the first players waiting to emerge from the tunnel, took a spill. Then, amid the noise and smoke, proved a formidable and effective speed bump for the players behind him.
