The different criterias is what makes it hard to distinguish these jobs. Booster support? Fan support? Facilities? Recent success? Historical success? Program wins? National championships? National following?
Ironman is right in that there are too many things to really peg down the best program. Based on today's current state of things, these are the jobs I would consider to be the top 10 (in no particular order):
Ohio State
Oregon
USC
Texas
LSU
Michigan
Alabama
Florida
Georgia
Notre Dame
But even then, I'm leaving out programs like Oklahoma, UCLA, TAMU, Penn State, Nebraska, Auburn, and Florida State.

Texas has the deepest pockets of any school, except maybe Oregon (that oil money is yikes.) Texas has the best in-state recruiting of any school except USC (because the florida schools split the state into three). Texas has good academics for a ginormous public school, and history. It's own tv network, a relatively easy path through its conference, and if the coach can recruit the southeast and midwest (hell nationally) then what's to stop it from becoming an instant powerhouse.
Saban could recreate what he has in Bama, but with better resources, almost immediately.
It's also probably be a less stressful job, because he wouldn't be president of the state like he is in tuscaloosa. Texans are insane about their football but there's pro sports around to take some of the media pressure off.

Schools like UCLA, Oregon, etc. thrive when the traditional powerhouses have down periods. That's not even a shot at those schools. OU historically snatches up the good Texas kids that can't make it into one of the Texas schools for whatever reason, primarily academics. UCLA's a basketball school. It runs LA currently because of the sanctions. Oregon was never recruiting Texas and Cali as well as it is currently (partly because the longhorns suck and the trojans do too/can't woo or sign those kids due to restrictions.)
There are the schools that will always be great jobs, and the schools that look like great jobs for 3-5 year spans and then not so much again.

Sounding like Michigan will make some changes on the O-line. Glasgow to OC, Bryant to OG. Bryant or Bosch but I'd hate to see Bosch's RS burned.

I mentioned him before Kiffin got fired. Would love to steal him away from Northwestern. It will be a huge step up for him, however he seems very loyal to his alma mater and that will make it tough to pry him away.
Bama > Florida... currently and historically.
UCLA is good this season, but they are nowhere close to being a top program,
. I'm not even trying to jab, that's just the way it is.

I honestly don't think Wisconsin is a sexy enough program for him. This isn't to say that Oklahoma is the sexiest program either I just think Big 10 Football is boring haha.
People say Cal is in the lead but I don't see how a top 10 player goes to a 1-3 program and middle of the Pac 12 program.

Never got why people cherish RS so much... I think the only reason Bosch wasnt a more serious contender for one of the OG spots was because he broke his hand in the spring... Kid is a beast... May not be ready but ALL the depth is in 2 classes... Have to break them up a little... Cant RS them all, every year... The way they recruit bodies at OL, I would not mind seeing them roll the dice with 1 and see if he wors out... I think Braden, Bryant and Burzynski will get shots before Bosch though.

Honestly though, at best it'll be 60/40 NW to OSU fans; probably closer to 50/50. I was worried more about this game than Wisconsin coming into big10 play.

Quick question, who do you guys think had the better run between Carrols USC teams or Sabans Bama teams? We can throw in Meyers Gator teams as well. I know Bama has won 3 titles recently, but those SC teams were just sick. The way Reggie Bush and them dominated football was crazy.
As for the program debate, at least where I live, USC is viewed as the #1 program in the country. If USC was interested in you out here in AZ, you immediately signed with them.

USC squads were glamorous because of Reggie and Leinart. The '06 loss to VY hurts their claim.
