always contradicting yourself. But for the sake of not mucking up this thread I'll keep it brief. Won't even bring up all the other times you changed your stance. It would be too long of a post for others to have to read plus it just promotes a long back-and-forth no one wants to read.

so in your opinion, what would you make of him being a natural born leader? how does that make him better or worse than other QB prospects?

my comment was in response to gunna, didn't see your response at the top of the page. and even then, the point of you mentioning him having certain qualitative descriptions eventually is used to describe why he's better or worse of a prospect than someone else. my point being, since there is no way to quantify personal characteristics, it's useless for this type of discussion.

best example i can think of is people saying how much of a "gamer" manziel is. in theory, that sounds nice. but that doesn't mean he'll play better than someone who isn't characterized as a gamer.

So which is it?* You'd rather a player/team have it than not? Or it means nothing, isn't quantifiable and therefore not worth discussing, and doesn't explicitly determine whether a person/team plays better. I'm not the smartest dude in the world, but that seems contradictory.

*Completely rhetorical, man. Not interested in reading you backtrack some more, and when that fails say I'm inferring and adding words and that's not what you meant, and when that fails just say I'm too stupid to get it.

I been lurking this thread, only reason I don't post is because I don't follow CFB hardcore. And only thing I'm I'm hung up on is your dumb *** actually going at my intelligence when you yourself don't even know what you want to say. So you just say anything and adjust as needed.

Lastly, don't sell yourself short. That's not "all you said from day 1". Tell everyone how close game accrue mental tougness and it can act as an x-factor between two evenly matched teams "down the road and beyond" (meaning playoffs). True pearls of wisdom.

You know this stuff as good as anybody on Miami's side, you think with all the guys we've already pulled, we could still land 4-5 of these on top of all that????? Cuz that seems just absurd.

All This debate about "Leadership/Intangibles" is pointless because there's currently no way to measure such qualities other than watching and following such individuals and seeing what you see-- then drawing an individual conclusion. The so-called "eye-test".

Guys like Winston and Manziel stand out because you see the command and involvement they have with the entire team/game-day process. They not only lead by having amazing football skill-sets but also you can see the focus, poise, and will-to-win each time they step on the field. Jameis was not just playing for the camera last week in Death Valley. That is his natural personality 24/7--- even last year on the road at NC State when we lost that game, he was the only player on the sideline screaming and routin on every single player on our team. A lot of guys didn't even know who he was and were like "look at this fool, he ain't even playing". Well they know now.

Watch Johnny Manziel on gameday, you see him slap 5 with every defensive player after they come off the field. That is his team and those guys play for him. I would venture to guess there are several players on TAMU and FSU that would not be playing at the level they are without the presence of these young, inspiring QBs.

So how do you measure a leader? .... I would say look at the players around him and see if they elevate their game around this person. Someone mentioned Tebow, and i totally agree with him being the same type of "rah-rah"(for lack of a better term) leader. You know when he is on the field, those boys are playing for him. Other than that I can't really see a way to measure it.
