2013 College Football Thread (Realer than Real Deal Holyfield -->S/O Craftsy)

You sleight OU offensively like they didn't just upset Tech. Bell is making strides, deep ball to Saunders looked improved. Williams was effective on the ground.

People aren't paying attention, but Texas has rallied for Mack since BYU and Ole Miss. The Red River Shootout being the crown jewel game in their revival from the dead.

I stand by my hunch. Baylor loses two, likely to some combination of OK State, OU, and Texas.

If y'all are into stats here's an inforgraphic I did for elevenwarriors (ohio state blog).

I agree with you that Baylor will lose a couple.

I've been propping Tech all year but anybody who has seen then knows they've been just as flawed as Miami despite their previous undefeated record.

Trusting Blake Bell's passing to keep up with Baylor? Good luck.

And as improved as UT has looked they haven't played a offense that's capable of testing their defense out since Ole Miss. Yes that includes OU.

I can use the anti SEC argument is saying the top teams in the B12 are feasting on the teams at the bottom because the bottom of the B12 is really bad this year. A major reason why national media says the conference is down this year. I have no problems with you saying Baylor will lose but I just wanted a ill reasoning.

I gave you reasoning, Statis. I'm not one to make arguments without support or evidence.

I originally stated two out of five. You asked me to be more specific, and I responded in suit. Combination of OK State, OU, Texas.

I can't convince you Gundy is a good HC. That's my belief. Bowl record is solid. Posted 23-3 over two seasons. That's impressive for me when OK State doesn't recruit quite like OU or Horns.

I fully realize Chelf and Walsh are no Z. Robinson. Or even Weeden. But I supported my argument with the run game, Roland went off against ISU.

It's a home game in Stillwater. Fans should be energized if Baylor is still undefeated at that point.

I think Baylor is good, but not top 10 good.  The Big 12 is way down and like you said they have feasted on 4 of the bottom 5.  On top of that their OOC was pretty bad as well.  They play three "ranked"

opponents so we'll see them against teams that have a pulse.

I think Baylor takes the big XII this year.. they get OU , tech and UT at home and The Goodley, Reese, Seastrunk, Petty machine is hummin :pimp:

ISU, you hyped for another season under Mayor?

Kane is going to be huge for you guys.
I'll be interested to see how this team comes together.  We'll still shoot the 3, but not as well as last year.  We have nice pieces in Niang/Ejim and getting Kane to solidify a guard spot was needed.  Hopefully he can play the two, but will probably have to play point until Morris is ready.  I see us finishing 3-5 in the Big 12.

SEC has 5 teams ranked between 8-14.

Because that stadium was built exclusively for baseball. They only do "special events" which is what the bowl games fall under.

They don't want to deal with the baseball diamond either at the beginnings of the year with the dirt and changing of grass.
I'd rather have a baseball diamond for a few gamess then to be at that stadium. I'm closer to sunlife but the amount of time I wait trying to park and then leave parking It takes the same amount of time of driving down to the OB

Have there ever been 6 undefeated teams from the big conferences come November ?

seems like a lot

Since 2003, 41 AQ teams have been undefeated at this point in season (avg 4.1/year). Entering bowls, just 14 still were (1.4/year).

Been 5+ undef teams in BCS top 10 at this point in each of last 5 years. Only 1x did 3+AQ teams end reg season that way (09 Bama Tx Cincy)

 it would be a very fitting end to the BCS to have 4 teams go undefeated
