2013 College Football Thread (Realer than Real Deal Holyfield -->S/O Craftsy)

Humble pie time. I was very wrong about OU against Baylor. Stoops had those boys ratcheted up early. Failing to capitalize on those early drives with TD's killed the Sooners. Would have established momentum and taken the crowd out of the game. That's on Bell. Thought he turned a slight corner against Tech.

TOP is relevant when the team Oregon plays holds the ball for 4 1/2 minutes for every drive and scores on most of those drives. They DOMINATED the LOS. Just straight up tougher and better execution in the trenches. Bottom line.

Bell :smh: :smh: :smh:

Dude proved to be such a scrub... so much struggle... not to mention he can't even live up to the BellDozer name an gain a yard or two when it counts anymore, useless.

So much easier said then done, the only thing a Oregon fan could cling to that holds weight IMO is saying that defensive PI call when Oregon got the pick shouldn't have been called and swung momentum, outside of that... you dudes got B*itch Slapped.

Not really when your inside the 5 twice and leave with 0 points and throw a deep ball short 1 yard. 16 points right there AT LEAST :smh:

That PI call was poor, but in real time I don't know if i can blame the ref, the arm extended/grab by Ifo simply doesn't look good, regardless if penalty or not.

Your squad didn't score on all those opportunities because they're frail as hell, feeling that their best option inside the 5 on 4th down is throwing fade routes to n_'s 5'10 or less is a complete joke.

You can tell who actually has watched Oregon before and who just watches ESPN. Dudes trying to act like Oregon going for it on 4th and goal is crazy and out of the norm

Not out the form, but it was the wrong call by Helfrich. So early in the game. Take the points, positive drive. Trust your defense. Got too greedy.

I feel the same about Stoops going for it on fourth so early.

That's how I feel about it too. I mean granted Maldonado has a range of 15 feet, but even he could have gotten a field goal from the 5 yard line*

*I can not guarantee he actually can

Ya i dont get why we hate our kicker from inside the 5  . But that fade by Addison was a poorly run route. If he would have kept running and not have turned back to the ball as early and backpeddled he would have had a good chance.

At the end of the day they beat up Oregon physically, but at the same time Ducks had the chances to win the game

was Helfrich supposed to know his players would fumble 4 times? Or get screwed over on a Interception? Oregon's game plan every single game isn't to play it safe and take the points, They go for touchdowns and they get them alot more than they don't. I mean even if they did kick the field goal. they still are down by 3 points. Plus i have seen Maldonado come up short on 30 yarders.

You have to know your opponent and make adjustments accordingly...

Going for it once is one thing but after that you're just playing with fire acting like you can't be touched out here, at some point you have to realize you're not playing Washington or UCLA anymore and quit trying to blow the top off games an instead just try to get the lead an go from there.

As soon as they got down and Stanford started to control the ball an degrade them on defense the offense started pressing, all those turnovers an such are irrelevant because you never even get to that point if you take the FG early an make Stanford respond knowing they can't give the ball right back to you guys an potentially be in a 10-0 hole... they weren't even 30 yarders either... straight chip shots.

While I will admit dude couldn't hit the broad side of a barn, the OC didn't do him any favors running the same predictable play 3 times in a row

Swear on everything, real conversation going on here at work. No joke....

[Duck fan]

"I don't get it, we lost to a top 5 school, Stanford lost to an unranked team, we should still be ahead of them, their loss is worse than ours......"

And multiple people are nodding their heads agreeing with him.  :smh:

They have no idea why I'm sitting here at my desk lookin like Josh Huff with tears rollin down my cheeks.

Texas Tech isn't very good. Oklahoma isn't very good. Texas isn't very good. Oklahoma State isn't very good.

14-0 in the 1st quarter, you can use whatever gameplan you want. There is plenty of game left. 4th qtr that may be a different story.

B12 is a juggernaut now?
