But I didn't ask y'all who had a better record, or who played the tougher teams. I ask who were better teams.

Segment vs Segment, What you see from them on the field, their strengths/Weaknesses, etc.

The better team not the stronger SOS

I can understand arguments for some teams, but more than 5? FOH.

I apologize for not including that part in my first post; my bad.

Segment for Segment, I think Stanford has a better defense and ground game than Mizzou. ASU might be a push, but given their recent games, I'd argue that they're a hotter team and have played and beaten more difficult opponents, making them a better team.

I think that would hurt the FCS schools more than anything as they get a lot of money from those games

I'm sure it will help the Harlem Globetrotters a ton if they play the Heat, Celtics, Lakers, Bulls, etc. doesn't mean it should be a part of their regular season.

I don't think it's the job of FBS schools to fund FCS schools and if that is the case, call them exhibition games and don't count it as part of their regular season record.

Oh I agree completely. I just meant that the rug shouldn't be suddenly pulled out from under these FCS schools. There has to be another way to fund these FCS schools without these near pointless (damn you OSU and KState!) games every year.

He signed one w/ FSU as well. Would assume he signed Florida's too

Unlimited access definitely benefits UM more than anyone since they're closer and can drop in whenever he is available.

UF too since they have nothing to prepare for since their season is over, but until OC questions are ironed out I doubt Cook is going to feel any stronger about his 'commitment' to them

Scratch that Luke, says that UF never sent him one, so he hasn't signed one. That's.....odd.

Baylor
Stanford
Oregon
South Carolina (beat Mizzou already)
Michigan State
Auburn


Missouri played the softest Non-Conference schedule, in SEC play they lost to the best team they played all year in South Carolina, there marquee wins are against overrated Florida, depleted UGA team, overhyped Miss, and A&M who would win on a neutral field

Don't let that SEC schedule fool you, they didn't play LSU, Bama, or Auburn during conference.

This sounds like someone who has hardly seen Mizzou play, if at all. They beat all those teams you mentioned handily.

Saw a couple places where Clemson could end up in the Orange Bowl vs Bama. :x Would be worse than the WVU debacling and quite possibly the biggest mismatch of head coaches in history.

Why is that? How many teams are better than Mizzou this year?

This is my opinion but I think these teams beat Mizzou (outside of SEC)

Florida State
Stanford
Oregon
Arizona State
Oklahoma State

They're like Alabama. They've gone through an easy schedule.

Record of teams Alabama has played: 74-71 or a .510 winning percentage, 7 games against FBS bowl eligible teams
Record of teams Mizzou has played: 83-61 or a .576 winning percentage, 8 games against FBS bowl eligible teams (includes Auburn record for upcoming SEC title game)

Other teams I mentioned have played against more difficult schedules in a "weaker" conference according to many, at least according to their record.

Record of teams Stanford has played: 91-65, 10 games against bowl eligible teams, a .583 winning percentage (includes Arizona State twice as a result of Pac-12 title rematch)
Record of teams Arizona State has played: 96-61, 10 games against bowl eligible teams, a .611 winning percentage (includes Stanford twice as a result of Pac-12 title rematch)

  Mizzou would dominate Oregon at the line and pass on your team.

Arizona State should have a loss vs. Wisconsin.

What about Oklahoma State makes you think they'd beat mizzou? A jerk response to the Baylor game?  They lost to West Virginia.

Mizzou all season has been consistently good.  They have one loss, in overtime with a freshman backup quarterback.

Your post was all sour grapes.

I like Mizzou's chances against Auburn. They've played solid pretty much all season. They slipped up against USCe, but picked themselves back up after that (unlike Oregon).

I'd take Oregon before they gave up over Mizzou, and Mizzou over Oregon after they gave up.

right. but what people are missing is once you get past all of this "they're better since the second half of the season" and "i'd take my team over them if it was my team before they lost then quit on the year talk" is that even in losing, Mizzou is one of 4 teams that has played consistent "good" football all year: Florida State, Ohio State, Alabama, and Missouri. In my opinion at least from watching the games. Sure you can argue for Auburn and LSU as well.

But to say "this team is overrated" or doesnt deserve to be in a conversation when they've been playing consistently and HANDLING comp all year is silly.  And if you watched the South Carolina game you would know that they absolutely should have won that game too.  A 4th quarter brain fart and their kicker choked that away for them.  That team has played great all year.  And would work Oregon.

I still think Saban's wife saying no to Texas is a smokescreen. Only time will tell.
