2013 College Football Thread (Realer than Real Deal Holyfield -->S/O Craftsy)

Yes, Terry is a huge factor in the Saban sweepstakes. Happy wife, happy life. Which is why I like being a bachelor. Following the George Clooney playbook like I'm a Mike Holmgren disciple.

Folk Blues: You could see Bama matching a huge Texas offer of 10/100?

No I don't, but as the wife issue has been brought up, we can't evaluate the offer strictly on money. If Alabama offers 7 per and Terry is happy in Tuscaloosa and doesn't want to leave for Austin, what can 10M/year do for you that 7M/year can't? That's what I meant when it comes to Alabama offering money at least somewhat close to Texas' offer.

The wild card here is the LHN percentage, if that's actually on the table to begin with. Have to imagine that it's an invaluable piece of property that is truly unique in CFB, no one else can offer something as valuable as that. If it's really there for Saban to have, you have to imagine it will be Nick Saban doing the heavy lifting in convincing Terry that the move is for the best, rather than letting the money speak for itself.

Fort Worth Telegram said it's a done deal. I'm expecting more media outlets to confirm within the next 24-48 hours.

Writing was on the wall.

I'm more interested in Bama's next HC step. It will show how much faith they have in Kirby Smart.

I'm also curious how high Jeremy Hill goes in the Draft. I feel like R3 is a fair projection. R2 not out of the question with a strong Combine and/or Pro Day. R4 if NFL teams and scouts put a lot of stock into his 40 time and other overrated measurables.

Seems like if Saban wanted to end this talk he could easily come out and say he isn't going. Hard seeing him leave Bama without going out on top (national title)
