Unlimted Money can make a lot of things happen.

I'm Texas fan but I don't even like Saban like that.

I just hope it happens so I can troll Bama fans endlessly.

Trust me if he goes you will have a change of heart in about a couple years

He will bring that program back FAST

the state of Texas football athletes :x

his recent run at Bama :x

the money and and facilities to bring in them recruits :x

yea Saban would cook :smokin

It would be a couple hours of a change of heart... Dude is going to clean up if he goes to Austin... It will be insane

Fort Worth Telegram said it's a done deal. I'm expecting more media outlets to confirm within the next 24-48 hours.

Writing was on the wall.

I'm more interested in Bama's next HC step. It will show how much faith they have in Kirby Smart.

I'm also curious how high Jeremy Hill goes in the Draft. I feel like R3 is a fair projection. R2 not out of the question with a strong Combine and/or Pro Day. R4 if NFL teams and scouts put a lot of stock into his 40 time and other overrated measurables.
Didn't realize Hill was 3 years removed. He might as well leave.

The athletes he will get @ UT will be no different or better than the ones he gets @ Bama

The benefits of Texas vs Bama is outside of the football field, as far as the game/players itself there is no benefit to leave

The annual winter tradition - Saban getting a raise

And his agent will work another one for him before the winter is over after ESPN rumors him to D.C. or the Cowboys

Fresh off of saying he withdrew his name for consideration

Wonder if Eddie Gran will get another crack @ the Arkansas St. job since he has a year of OC'ing under his belt
There were talks of Gran having some type of HC in waiting spot at Cincy for when Tubs retires. Doubt he'd wait that long though.

Longer Saban waits to sign the extension/raise with Bama, the more the Tide brass sweats. Would be wise to have a contingency plan, boys. Whether it's Smart or outside the program. Act swiftly.

Highway robbery that Jace Amaro wasn't a Mackey finalist. He was the best TE in CFB this year by a comfortable margin. I would have voted Amaro, Ebron, ASJ.

Saban doing a lot of schools a favor by stretching this out. While Texas waits for an answer, everyone else locked up their coach long term. I understand these coaches can still leave, but I would imagine it becomes much tougher to do so.

Amaro is not better than Ebron, from what I have seen. Was surprised to see O'Leary make it over him

What does he really gain by going to Texas? It's not like he's having to expend a ton of energy recruiting to Alabama.

Literally the only benefit to him leaving Alabama for Texas will be his wife is happier in a big city. Unless they really are about to overspend so significantly that they blow the market out of the water, what else does he gain?

I'm not saying he's going to UT but Finebaum would never admit to anything that might hurt his precious Bama.
this.

Apparently Bama has offered Saban a contract extension since Friday and it has yet to be signed

Saban & his agent aren't stupid, why sign the extension when you don't truly know the market for him? Even if Saban wants to stay at Bama why wouldn't they at least wait to see what happens at UT? It's not like Bama is gonna take it back. If Mack is really gone and they put a crazy number like the 10/$100 on the table, Saban is getting paid either way.

Even if Bama steps up and comes close, it can be easy for outsiders to say well if he's happy at Bama what's the difference between say $90m & $100m? Ummm...$10,000,000?

I always find that funny with professional athletes and fans thinking they should take the hometown discount...unless they're going to a terrible situation with a new team (not talking about location, endorsement opportunities, etc), despite them being multi-millionaires it's still a substantial amount of money. Even if it's
