Mathews is overrated too. He's beyond over hyped for his performance on the field. IMO, there's a pretty big talent gap between Joeckel and Mathews. Mathews got beat and had a lot of penalties this year that you wouldn't expect with all the praise he gets.

Amazing what Stoops did without a reliable QB. Colvin hurt. Williams gone. Millard out.
 
Jewbacca with the most honest assessment imaginable. I have to own it the same. I was dead wrong about Matthews seemingly. Had him rated higher than every tackle in the 2013 class. He'll still be first off the 2014 board at his position but there are now some minor doubts.

I've said before that Matthews is gonna have to move back to RT if he's gonna be successful in the NFL. Especially sticking by that after the last half of the season.

Sugar Bowl loss stings but the 2014 class plus Ricky Town, DeSherrius Flowers, Mekhi Brown, and Deionte Thompson will help Saban get over it.
