I always thought Smith was Bama or Michigan if not Ohio State. Didn't even know Kentucky was a top contender. Guess Mark Stoops made a late push for being a defensive mind with an emphasis on the secondary.
I'd still be shocked if Lattimore spurns the Buckeyes for Michigan.

Had him OU or Wisconsin from the start. UCLA chasing and trailing in third. Remember his cousin, Shaq Thompson, gave a verbal to Cal then went out of state to UW.
Considered Lattimore a Buckeye lock. Erick Smith I thought we might not get or fit in the class. Better not sway Marcelys regardless.

I know Goldens wife truly loves it in Miami.
Not sure how other Miami fans feel, but I want Al Golden to stay. We just need better coordinators.
One of those things floating out there is that, if they were Golden, they would be trying to negotiate with the school to commit more to the football program.
More money to pay better coordinators. I personally feel he will stay but crazier things have happened.

We have some of the worst coordinators in the country. They just don't pay enough money to get anybody good

Miami has been a pipleline of great assistants and coordinators. Only exception was Randy Shannon was just a terrible evaluator of coaches hiring Pat Nix, Whipple, Lovett, etc.
Schiano, Chud, Mark Stoops, Chuck Pagano, and Cristobol were all coaches here in the 00's.
Golden hired Fisch, who then left to become an NFL OC. Hired Cristobol who left for a promotion at Bama. Coley left FSU to come here for the same position and he certainly didn't take a pay cut.
