Strong is going to have to dip into other places because he has zero pre-existing ties to Texas and he's playing from WAY behind the 8-ball already in the 2015 classes to Sumlin and Briles in particular.
 
No he won't have to dip in other areas. Day one, go ingratiate himself to the locals, meet & greet, invite coaches to campus, throw 3 extra junior days and they will be in him favor

The school being a religion thing is truer with UT-A than any other school in the country.  There are kids being born right now whose parents intend to make them go play Texas football just for the tradition and legacy.  It's ingrained from a young age.  The flip comes later when you as a coach don't do your job reaching out to those kids and their parents and coaches.

The defense got lit up as expected but they did enough for the offense to put itself in a position to win. 

Vonn should've been playing from day 1 imo. Jamal Marcus as well. 

Braxton needs to leave. He's obviously not ready but he got killed tonight and you combine that with the fact he's going to get more carries with Hyde gone - plus attrition of the oline. 

Sammy is ridiculous.

you really believe this?

and if strong starts locking the state down early like mack brown use to do how would he have room for players from Florida? 2-3 kids fine but class half of Florida players and Texas players wont happen with how rich in talent Texas as a state is.
