2013 College Football Thread (Realer than Real Deal Holyfield -->S/O Craftsy)

IMO it's hard to fault anyone for how the offense played Saturday. MSU defense is tough and has always kept Denard in check. Fortunately I don't think MIchigan plays another defense that can do that so I think we'll be okay going forward.

Wanted to come back in here and say I was wrong about Florida; that was a statement win on Saturday. Still not willing to say they're the 2nd best team but they're better than I thought. Couple of their games that I watched earlier in the year they didn't look very good at all but I guess they needed a little time to get everything to gel.

I am totally pulling for K-State to go all the way, though I know it's a longshot. I honestly have no clue how the hell they are doing it; I went and looked at their recruiting classes the last 5 years. In 08 they had the 27th ranked class, since then it's been 3 classes in the low 60's and one in the 90's :x And they are beating the breaks off teams like Oklahoma and West Virginia

Why is it out of the question that Kansas State would beat Oregon?

Hope Chris Thompson's injury isn't too severe. Dude is/was playing great this year.

If we're talking resumes, Alabama cannot use their schedule either. Not disputing their talent or anything like that, but who exactly have they played

Who have the Ducks played seriously....
#8 Michigan*
Western Kentucky
Arkansas
Florida Atlantic
Ole Miss
Missouri
Tennessee
#11 Mississippi State
#6 LSU
#20 Texas A&M
Western Carolina
Auburn

Yet still #1 in the Nation... not saying their good, but who has Bama played? As cupcake as Oregon schedule is, Bama's schedule is a snoozefest to the NCG. OOOOOooooooo look out they play LSU, they're like Idaho with defense! Oh no they also play Miss St. and Texas A&M!

Kansas St. look out they put up 55 points on WV which ranks 118th in defense, how the hell did that happen? But hey at least they beat NORTH TEXAS 35-21!

:rolleyes

I always figured he was losing it like Joe Pa and didn't really do much of the coaching.  Heard him speak after the Iowa State game and he seems pretty sharp.  Have a lot of respect for him and what he has done with that program.

Alabama will murder the rest of their schedule. What Saban's staff does year in and year out :x

Bama's schedule pretty darn similar to Oregon's, SRS. One, two tough games, couple of other ranked opponents and then teams they should bulldoze.

Both will play ranked teams in conference 'ship games.

Right...because you guys aren't happy when a good player from your rival is out injured in an important game, right?

We would beat them regardless, even if he was going to play.

Some of y'all take offense to things too easily...kids these days are all softer than marshmallows.

The Tigers are now 1-6, 0-5 in the SEC.

And Gene Chizik is now 7-14 in the SEC without Cam Newton. Without Cam Newton and Gus Malzahn, he's 0-5 in the SEC. It gets even more alarming. In his coaching career without Gus Malzahn Gene Chizik is now 6-25.

Damn.

And now his mom passed away today :frown:
