GS/Men size jordans made differently?

I've always had this question come to mind. Maybe somebody on here might have the answers.

There is always a slight difference between GS and men's size.

Pay attention to the midsole area, notice the difference?

GS "23" on the back end of the shoe has a smaller font and men's "23" has a larger font size

The tongue is attached to the sock liner in men sizes and GS has a real tongue which can pop out.

What do you guys think? Another thing is GS sizes get exclusive color ways from both jordan and Nike brands. Most of the time different materials are used between the two.

What retro Jordan color ways were made exclusively for men's size?

Has been the case for a while.

Smaller shoe/foot, so they have to design them a bit differently.

I guess they change the materials because they're kids shoes.

Self explanatory.

With the case of the 4s, the midsole change was done because the shoe isn't "long" enough and would look weird.

As a wise man once said, "that's just the way it is."

To answer your other question though, the GS crowd gets some heat too though.

This has been the case forever. Even the children's 3s from back in the day had the huge elephant print panel on the toe. The kids' shoes aren't big enough to have all of the details on the men's pairs. Most of the time it's the laces holes (i.e. AJ 3, 4, etc.) A lot of the time, different materials are used as well, sometimes better on the GS sizes. :rolleyes

All of the LS and most of the Limited retros. Off the top of my head: Thunder and Lightning IVs, Grape Vs, Chambray VIIs, 05 Altitude XIIIs, CG IIIs, DTRT IIIs, Tour Yellow IVs, Ceramic VIIs, Mist Blue IVs, Olive Vs, Burgundy Vs, those black/carolina Vs, both the white and the grey Chartreuse XIVs, the DMPs. That's all I can think of at the moment.

I guess they just do that to distinguish the difference between GS and regular sizes easily.

Are the Columbia retro+ any different? My friend is a size 4.5 and she has the columbia 4's. The midsole is just like any other 4's from this year with the pods on the side.
