Those the ones without the leather collar? I wouldnt quite compare it to usps and polo though  they both still timbs.

Why is Timbs a trend now

Bro if you ain't NYC you don't know what iamtaklingbout.

EVERYONE GOT A PAIR OF WHEAT TIM'S OUT OF NOWHERE

Like said earlier outside of the northeast it may be considered a trend, in the northeast, specially NY these have been a staple for YEARSSSSSS....I've had my wheats for about 8 years.

Cali dudes and Florida unless you work construction, I have no clue why you would even own a pair of Timbs....but hypebeast gon hypebeast

Naw he's right yo, they went away for a bit, like a year then came back hard again. Like there was some cold season correlation or some ****.

Timbs are a trend outside of the East Coast; East Coasters have been wearing them for years, and the boots actually suit the weather there. I've never seen anyone here in Cali wearing Timbs for fashion since 2004 until last year. Last summer, dudes were suddenly rocking black jeans and Timbs in 80+ degree weather over here  :smh: Thanks Kanye

While Timbs have been around and generally popular, there's no doubt they're trendy right now (I think this is only talking about 6" wheats/construction boots). I don't know why people seem to take offense to that idea, I mean just the fact that such a wide range of people are wearing them, you see all kinds of pics of celebrities with them on, there's collabs and everything indicates their popularity has surged and become more widespread.

I'm sure most of y'all have been into them for a long time, it's not an insult or calling YOU a follower but let's be real...plenty of people have started wearing them because of the current trend.

Tim's are a trend?? Lol

Haven't the wheats always been one of the most popular styles? I live in NY and still saw them a lot. Plus it seems like every sneaker store and sporting goods store carries them anyway. So maybe a popular boot got even more popular. Good for Timberland then.

i live in the hottest part of the US and i rock timbs.

have a pair of 8 inch work boots that i got for 40 bucks from DSW in arizona.

bought them the summer before 11th grade and i still have em 11 years later.

ordered the olive stussys and should arrive today.

those 8 inch workboots are built like tanks, in cali there was only a handful of dudes rockin timbs back then.

when i went to the yeezus concert in LA though, they were everywhere.

plaid and all red shoes everywhere.

but yeah the kiddies see it as a trend that is becoming hot cuz all their little buddies are asking mom for some.

Celebs in general.

You got dudes like Scott disick and random super models wearing them when it's never been their style in the past. Even here in the DC area where timbs have been dwarfed by Nike boots for over a decade I'm starting to see a resurgence. Mac n cheese and beef n broc field boots were big but all of a sudden wheat constructs came back with a vengeance. Notice how none of the other colors are poppin just wheats, not a coincidence. Pull up the old boots threads from a few years back, the constructs discussion was non-existent.

So we gon' act as if this so call "trend" ya calling it didn't get a spike in popularity post VMAs Kanye..

Ya much rather say kanyes Disciples or Scott Discick as if it wasn't Kanye that had THEM rocking...

In the northeast Tims were gonna be rocked regardless

But yes they are trending when you see chicks in leggings and Tims (same chicks that thought constructs were ugly two years ago)

dudes in skinny jeans and Tims when they haven't rocked a pair since 06

I get what some of you are saying. Some people were writing off Timbs as "played out" like a year or two ago. They were swearing by Polo boots and Nike boots. I never fell into that crowd though.

Truth be told, I saw Jay wearing Timbs hard again before Ye. Around Watch the Throne time. Ye followed soon after though...

No ones really wrong. Depends on where you are and where you're from. Always been a staple in the north-east but for a while (mid-late 2000s) the trend-hoppers stopped wearing Nikes and Timbs and got on some west-coast steez and wore a lot of Chucks and Vans. I'm from BK and I went to visit my cousins back in 02 in San Jose. Only brought one pair of shoes and it was the constructs for all purpose during my stay. They clowned me so hard and were asking wtf was I wearing. K-Swiss and MF'ing Phat-farm shell toes were more acceptable there than Timbs.

So yeah, for a lot it never went, but it is also a trend for many. Some dudes even in NY gave them up for boots like Vasque, Dolomites, Asolo. Now everyone owns a pair. IDKWTF Jay was thinking when he said "Timbs, we off that" like he was gon dictate the change of a staple.

This. We're from the same area. I think Polo boots were the "trend" for a Winter or two. Then people just went back to the Timbs. Never was a fan of the Polo's either. Rangers are cool, though.

Yeah...Vazquez were the wave...remember having a pair of flint and turquoise joints that were straight flaaaaames
