Official Fall/Winter 2016/17 Boot Thread...Fall is creepin up

Version of the 1000 mile? Link me bro. Cheapest I've found any variation of the 1000 mile is $200. Tried them on in Nordstrom and they're extremely nice.

Edit- so the difference is the leather used, and the sole. I like that the kilos are full vibram though, can't wear stacked leather in the rain. However, from what I read that accounts for the lower price compared to the 1000. Still link me please.

Yeah is the 1883 collection which bridges the gap between their made in China garbage and the 1000 mile collection which is usually really expensive.

Yeah my budget was actually 100 for new boots and I was just gonna grab the Chippewa Apache but I stretched it for these and it was well worth it.

As you said, the only major difference is the leather used. It isn't Horween Chromexcel but boots that have that rarely go cheap. Leather on these is still fantastic and they're breaking in very nicely. I wore them about 3 times and the leather insole is real nice. I give it about another week before it's completely comfy. I like it because it's a work boot that has the dressier twist with the stacked heel.

I actually think the sole on these is better than they're regular 1000 mile because I prefer vibram rubber over leather sole.

Mine came out to $150 with HOLIDAYS25. I would suggest going half to a full size down from your normal Nike size.

I'll update next week to show how the leather wears and fades. This boot is my go to for the office during this winter.

Really can't go wrong with a standard leather boot with a Goodyear welted sole. Regular upkeep and conditioning should make the boot last you at least 2 years IMO

big fan of the polo saddleworth boots been looking for a sz 10 for a while now
those suede eastlands posted a while back are nice too

I had to run in my boots yesterday to catch a train. My Beckman boots ripped the skin off the heel of my right foot again, SMH.

I remember you mentioned it before but I forgot to go and buy some. Walking around in some heavy boots all day while you're wasted puts a hurting on your feet. Just glad my savage friends didn't puke on them since they puked everywhere else.

I would've bought the black color way already but the white stitching ruins it for me.

guys should i use the official red wings repair service to get resoled and cleaned up or will a regular boot/shoe repair service from around the block suffice? this will be for a 1907

my current winter rotation. unfortunately a couple got crushed while moving. I also found some sage moc toes and another pair of handsewns that I forgot I had. I'm actually letting those go if anybody's been looking.
